"Sotto le stelle del Jazz" was written by Paolo Conte in 1983, and released on his third eponymous album.

I will not try an English translation this time, cause the lyrics are full of allegories, and after all I'm not a poet :). Luckily there are some poets around on SC, and so very special thanks so to Michele Ansani (@michele-ansani check out his music) for providing both an English translation, and food for thought. You can find his translation below.
