“Atomic” is the debut release from Brooklyn-based DJ/production duo Alchemical Disco. Their revival of Blondie’s classic began with a single question: what would it sound like if Giorgio Moroder had produced this song? Nearly all of the sounds on this release have been created using self-built analog modular synthesizers that were custom designed for that fat, organic sound.  Additionally, the duo’s choirs of polyphonic vocals, guitar, and occasional live drums and bass all help to maintain the live rock feel that the song deserves.  The original mix features an irresistible gallop rhythm, lush strings, and the tight structure of a radio hit.

Ayesha Adamo’s Remix takes things underground, combining militaristic tech drums, sexy serpentine basslines, and a bit of acid for good measure, all interwoven about stunningly stripped down vocals.

Following in the wake of their recent success with “Atomic,” which reached number 23 on Beatport’s Top 100 Electro House Releases, Brooklyn duo Alchemical Disco’s latest single “Firebird” is perched to fire up a dancefloor resurrection of mythical proportions.

Rising from the ashes of an imaginary late-night 80’s science fiction film soundtrack, “Firebird” features melodic arpeggios and sweeping analog modular synths that build up into an epic crescendo. Dramatic chord changes and instrumentation keep the listener in suspense until the final act.

Although “Firebird” cannot be caged by genre or style, this track will likely appeal to fans of Deadmau5 and Eric Prydz, and is sure to lead the flock on the dance charts this Fall.
