The satisfaction of achieving an objective is always great. When that target is having your music signed to one of your favourite labels, well, the sense of fulfillment must be immense. Barcelona based duo The Deals are currently basking in those feelings as they ready the release of their 'Maniac EP' on SCI+TEC. 

Badalona boys, Alex and Denis, first stepped into the studio together back in 2011. With a shared passion for the darker side of techno and a vast array of ideas already flowing, the pair set to work. Releases for the likes of Deeperfect and Toolroom have followed and The Deals have become key figures in Barcelona’s ever expanding and strong Techno scene. 

Whilst the title may conjure frenzied images the ‘Intro’ delivers a calculated and yet sinister and chilling opening. A vibe that is taken up by ‘Crazy (Tool)’ with its creeping groove and climbing synth. The bubbling and pacey throb of ‚Rumor’ closes the Ep, with is percolating drops and manic vox.

Recent addition to Alan Fitzpatrick's WATB roster, Southhampton born A.S.H makes his debut on the label with two peak time techno tracks. ‘Stranger Things’ takes a tighter and crispier percussive road compared to the first track of the EP ‘Vortex’.
