Nel Ponsaers, associated with The Golden Glows, Stef Kamil Carlens and Indio Louro, is taking on a new shape as singer-songwriter, Alderson. Her dreamlike, minimalist alternative songs are enhanced by lush dark colours provided by Frederic Lyenn Jacques(Dans Dans, Lyenn, Mark Lanegan, Crime and the City Solution) and Frederik Meulyzer (Post uit Hessdalen, Stray Dogs). Alderson takes you on a sonic trip through different interior landscapes, sometimes whimsical, often bittersweet, but always adventurous. 

Her album 'Erinyes' is very personal, it was written after a destructive breakup. She has turned this negative energy into pure emotion. This emotion became the driving force behind this creation. It's about faith. Seeking new perspectives, living a caring and empathetic life. With pure, raw emotions.

The album contains musical self-portraits interspersed with three angry outbursts, analogous to the three Greek Furies or Erinyes. Alecto, the irreconcilable, Megaera, the disapproving, and Tisiphone, the punishing. The Erinyes are mythological figures. Avenging goddesses who pursued and tormented sinners. The Erinyes left the underworld when a criminal was to be punished on Earth.

There are many references in the album. The attentive listener will hear Alice's adventures in Wonderland as well as mythology.

Emptiness demands attention. Minimalism was therefore chosen to emphasise this emptiness of the heart. A desolate heart, but also a warm one, when surrounded by good friends. The choice to work with Frederic Lyenn Jacques and Frederik Meulyzer and sound engineer Christine Verschorren was therefore an obvious one. They are musically like-minded souls.
