For the third release on Global North, DJ Pipe teams up with Crawley wunderkind Taslo to summon DJs and punters alike into their “Motion Suite”: celebrating a partnership galvanized during countless misspent hours on the dancefloors of Berlin, Tisno and beyond.

A1 “Realtime Bounce” gets things moving with slick tribal-house rhythms, fevered exhortations and a folder-full of stabs: not stopping for breath yet still keeping it deep. Bouncy and boisterous “Palladium” marries the sacred resonance of the S900 with undulating sub-bass squelch, making it a certified winner in rooms of all shapes and sizes. Pure momentum!

GN03’s flip side continues to deliver sustained bang for your hard-earned buck, with the oily, viscous grooves of “Moonshine” tumbling into your lugholes to deliver a fast-paced and dynamic tech-house cut. B2’s sensual “Shake It” rounds off the collection with heavily swung snares, strung-out chords and plenty of analogue delay – a supremely versatile deep house cruiser with the subtlest hint of melancholy.

BEHOLD! Our twenty-first release! We've sent a pigeon to the other side of the world and it came back with a sick record from Sydney-based producer Half Cut (@halfcutmusic), who over the course of seven tracks explores euphoric house, coiling electro, and jacking acid; tied together by a remix from Panorama Bar regular & Potency Records boss Cromby (@cromby).

Speaking on the EP, the label's co-founder Ryan Clover says:

"Kain sent us a pack of demos before the pandemic and they were all fantastic. He's one of a few artists that have sent us a cold email and gotten signed immediately. Kain is half Japanese/half Australian and is based in Sydney, and he's started to cut his teeth in the local circuit. While he's a relative newcomer to the scene, his tunes have already seen support from Craig Richards, Gene on Earth, Cromby, Youandewan, Perdu, ANOTR, and Who is Arcadia, and in 2022 he had his first song signed to a VA for Limousine Dream (Nug-Net), Gene on Earth's highly regarded label.

Kain is influenced heavily by 90s house & techno, especially artists such as FSOM, Joey Beltram, Klubbheads, Tony De Vit, etc, but he also draws a lot of inspiration from the new wave of artists such as Kettama & X-Coast, as well as pulling from more of the micro/tech house artists such as Gene on Earth, Youandewan & Klon Dump."

The EP starts with 'Player' an adventurous club tool that simultaneously feels both futuristic and old school - acidic leads meet with bubbling basslines in a kaleidoscope of colors, while the drums keep us moving through the dimly lit, smoke-filled loft.

Sex tapes from Mars’ third release comes in the form of 4 joyous hits of euphoria courtesy of Australian party-starter, Aldonna.

Angel Numbers excitedly bounces and bounds through its tracklist and the numerous blissed-out grooves within it. The EP kicks off with the psychedelic, poem-sampling ‘Divine Time’ before switching to the driving rhythms and glistening synths of ‘Ikigai’ (featuring Sam Alfred).

On the B-side, Aldonna dedicates the airy keys and phasing delays of ‘Ella’ to a friend who encouraged her to keep on dreaming. Finally, Cromby takes ‘Divine Time’ and reduces it down to its raw elements for clubland functionality whilst still retaining the threads of the originals buoyant tonality.

A love letter to her friends and her self, this is progressive house music at its most hopeful.

The Procyon II team are very proud to bring you PRCN001: 'Wave Artifice' - Naarm local AJ Walker's second EP and the maiden release for the Procyon II label. 

AJ returns with bag of sonic goodies to take you a journey through the galaxy and back. With a propensity for driving low-end grooves, snappy percussion and laser-like acid-licks leaving no surprises, this release has seen him venture down new avenues of sound design creating nebulous pad sections and synth harmonies to lose yourself in on a dusty dance-floor in the bush. 

3 recent cuts, 'Wave Artifice', 'Polybius' and 'Astra-Technique' showcase the last 6-months or so of AJ's trip into the esoteric and aims to capture that otherworldly feeling you might get while staring into the liminality of space on a clear night. 
'Blue Shell Boogie', written in 2021 is an ode to everyones favourite N64 classic. Sitting dormant on a backup disc since and finally finding a home on the Procyon II imprint. 

It's house, it's trance, it's a bit prog and it's Mario Kart 64 - it's Wave Artifice.

PREMIERE: NairLess - Swell [Semi Delicious]

Bourassa is back and serving us a scorching new summer hit. This time, label boss Smolny doesn't hold back, unleashing a powerful holiday anthem titled "Need Love."

If you're truly in dire need of some love, this track is definitely for you! It starts off slowly and nostalgically, seasoned with a distinct amen break. The growing tension sends shivers down your spine, while a beautiful trance chord intertwines with a long pad in the background. Adding to the flavor is a twisted female vocal that seductively flirts with your senses. It all culminates in a euphoric experience, gradually building up to release the accumulated energy. Finally, everything explodes as a strong and expressive bass line hits you like a ton of bricks.

The following track "Running" takes a more tranquil approach, transporting us to a dreamy realm. Broken drums keep propelling us forward, never allowing us to pause. The melodic chord gracefully emerges, creating a chill atmosphere and setting the mood. After the breakdown, grooving bongos complete the picture.

The B-side features two fantastic remixes of the title track, "Need Love." The first one is a fierce breakbeat roller from Denham Audio. With its powerful bass and mesmerizing droplets cascading in the background, it creates a distinct hypnotic atmosphere. The change in bassline to the typical speed garage sound delivers an even more potent punch at the end.

The second remix is crafted by SLG, who flawlessly captures the sound of the '97s, creating a track in the progressive trance style from that era. A brilliantly composed bass line constantly propels the track forward, building tension alongside the melodic line. A real dance floor killer!
