Once in a lifetime, we should be blessed to witness an act of creation. Not our own, as this lies beyond conscious recognition. More like, the birth of a cow on the farm holiday you took with your grand-parents. Or how the sticky pale dough your mum made turns into a delicious brown cake while you watch through the oven window. Or how the unimposing little seed you planted in school grows into a beautiful sunflower... 

With A Timescale Of Creation, Berlin mastermind Aldubb invites us to witness a musical journey through the creation of our world: 14,8 billion years, from the blurry times before the Big Bang to a yet unknown, though not very distant future. 

That he is a master of his craft is clear to anyone who has the slightest inkling of the German Dub scene – Aldubb is not only one of the most requested Dub-remixers around, he also releases at least one album or collaborative project each year, blessing our ears with innovative and well-arranged sonic gems. 

His newest feat is a purely instrumental work that paints a musical picture of the different stages our universe has passed through: the initial chaos is slowly drifting into timid harmonies that solidify in easily recognizable beats. While the fundamental Powers oscillate between a heavy dub beat and spherical cello, Hadrons emerge around a wicked Dubstep-section and the dance of the solar systems sounds a bit like a Calypso Jam. Further on, in an almost orchestral splendour, the First Galaxies and The Origin Of Thought are accompanied by trumpet (Mathieu Pé), trombone (Max Wehner), cello & double bass (Charles Sammons) as well as saxophone and clarinet (Paul Paul).

Fittingly recorded, mixed and mastered in Aldubb's own Planet Earth Studios, this magnificent opus is released under Feingeist Records and is clad in the impressive artwork of Gerd Kornmann (riotdesign.de). For those who are inquisitive learners as well as eager listeners, the booklet reveals scientific facts and philosophical musings underlying the 13 different sections.  

The Symphony Nr. 1 in Dub Minor is impossible to compare to anything because it's a conceptual album that has never before been realized in this form.

"Manchmal sind es nicht die eigenen Akkordfolgen, Melodien oder Texte, von denen sich Künstler inspirieren lassen, sondern schon existente Werke. Überall auf der Welt entstanden und entstehen unglaublich viele, wunderschöne Lieder, die nur darauf warten, in ein neues, aufregendes Gewand gekleidet zu werden. Dass sich eine konkrete Beschäftigung mit solchen Stücken lohnt, stellen Aldubb und Saralène nun gekonnt mit ihrem neuen Cover-Album "Saralène's Lion Hearts Dub Band" unter Beweis.
Ein starkes und hoffnungsträchtiges Bild, die Karawane der Liebe (wer hätte das nicht gerne auf Mutter Erde?), gab dabei den anfänglichen Impuls für das gelungene Cover-Album, denn "Caravan Of Love" von den Housemartins war der erste Song, an dem sich Saralène und Aldubb versuchten. Bei der Recording-Session ging dann alles ziemlich flott: Aldubb und Saralène
arbeiteten gerade am Layout des Songs, als zufällig einige Musiker der Evolution Band im Planet Earth Studio vorbeikamen. "Real musicians never plan to meet...". Der Song wurde direkt live eingespielt (Drums: Josi "Big Finga" Coppola, Git: The Great Stahl , Keys: Keysie Pollensi , Bass: Aldubb, Saralène in der Gesangskabine), und so kam die Scheibe ins Rollen.
Die beiden Berliner nahmen sich im Lauf der nächsten Monate weitere neun Songs aus diversen Genres und Epochen der Musikgeschichte vor. Sie wagten sich nicht nur an Monumentalwerke wie "Kashmir" von Led Zeppelin oder "Riders on the Storm" von den Doors, sondern kramten auch in unerwarteten Ecken. So präsentiert das Album eingängige Reggae-Versionen von Iron Maidens "Run to the Hills" oder auch "We dont need another Hero" von der unvergesslichen Tina Turner.
In jedem der Songs überrascht Saralène mit neuen Facetten ihrer außergewöhnlichen Stimme. In Verbindung mit Aldubbs gefühlvollen, dubbigen Reggae-Arrangements und unterstützt durch hochkarätige Musiker wie Mathieu Pe , Andreas Wendland , Antonio Montana Tony Touchkeys, Benjamin Kreisel oder Claudio Jolowicz, die Overdubs und Soli beisteuerten, entstanden Songs, die ihre Vorlagen entstauben und in neuem Glanz erstrahlen lassen.
