Newcastle-born, Manchester-based Khabs (@khabss) and Preston's Rakjay (@rakjayuk) have crossed paths on "Rear View". This intense, cinematic collaboration will appear on @ChameleonAudio's new 'Volume 3' compilation, dropping next Saturday, 22 December.

"Rear View" is unlike anything we've previously heard from either of them. Introduced via a dark, seeping drone, the listener is later met with a concatenation of snappy brass, punctuative violins, pitched percussion, and a booming bassline. Grime at its finest.

EA Review: Ninety – Ambi EP [UNTD003]

As the name suggests, UNTD003’s title track, “Ambi” begins by creating late night ambience peppered with liminal sound design and sinister drones in what can best be described as a mind-melting phantasmagoria of noises. This song embodies late night minimalism with the complexity and psychedelia of some of the more experimental sides of 140. As the tune progresses, Ninety incorporates a series of increasingly spectral chord progressions. These tones are then juxtaposed by dissociative textures and tasteful grittiness in the form of a no holds barred, rhythmic onslaught. With a special attention to detail, the refined intensity of this track is akin to the feeling one gets before plummeting down the drop of a rollercoaster.
