Our first premiere of the week comes from Dublin based producer Son Orbis who returns to Four Four with a fresh edit of UK house don Eliphino.

Jack Fleming aka Son Orbis gifts us with a free download following on from his release with Scottish label Milk It Sounds as well as a Jam & Spoon edit which was featured on Soundspace. Son Orbis has recently received great support from 1-800 Girls and Joris Vroon so we expect DJ’s to playing this new edit on repeat.

The Dublin based producer has put his break fuelled stamp on the original track which is a sure fire party starter.

This first EP of Human Rebellion is a nice overview of their universe. An atmosphere globally dark but also sometimes very deep and contrasted, composed of cold and percussive basslines, hypnotic arpeggios, sci-fi textures straight out of their modular and analog synths. No doubt that if you like powerful and energetic electro influenced by the electro-techno of the early 90’s with a modern and creative vision, this release will find its place in your flight case.

Yet again, Helena Hauff's Return To Disorder label brings us a new talent from the world of electro production, this time in the shape of India's Investigations of a Dog. The four tracks here contain a lively, energetic feel sure to tempt the reticent onto the dancefloor, matched with a dreamy optimism that gives them an ultra pleasurable head-in-the-clouds celestial feel. 'Heliocentrism' has echoes of classic LFO's naive melodicism, '11 July' is sunny and gently bubbling in the same vein as Aphex's first 'Ambient Works' LP, and the rest is generally infectious and loveable yet employed with a touch of subtle restraint. Sha Ru, the boundary-pushing duo from NYC-via-Berlin, returns to Jupiter4 with a high-octane four-track EP “Circling The Vortex” that channels the raw energy of their live performances into the studio. This release explores intensity, flow, and emotion, marking a bold step forward as the duo continues to expand their sonic palette.
 
The EP kicks off with “Hold Up,” a track that sets the tone by building anticipation and momentum, much like the rise of an energy vortex. The song mirrors the sensation of an unstoppable force gathering speed and power, swirling with intensity as it draws everything in. With its relentless four-on-the-floor rhythm, “Hold Up” introduces a new direction for Sha Ru, emphasizing their focus on persistence and drive.

Next, “T00 G004 T0 G1V3” elevates the energy even further with a drum and bass foundation, complemented by distorted vocals. Here, Sha Ru showcases their signature genre-blending style while experimenting with fresh sonic textures.

“Massilia,” is a pulsating track built on a high-energy four-on-the-floor rhythm that takes an introspective turn, weaving hypnotic acid lines into a captivating melodic foundation.

The EP closes with “Energy Back”, revisiting the dark, bass-heavy sound that defines their earlier work, encapsulating their distinct style while delivering a hypnotic dubstep groove with intense, atmospheric depth.

“Circling The Vortex” EP cements Sha Ru’s commitment to pushing sonic boundaries while maintaining the raw intensity, distinctive vocal textures, and immersive atmospheres that define their music. Known for their blend of spoken word and bass-heavy electronics, Sha Ru seamlessly weaves vocals throughout the EP, adding emotional depth while merging new rhythmic elements with their signature sound—from the energy of “Hold Up” to the dark groove of “Energy Back.” With this release, Sha Ru continues to carve out their place in the electronic music landscape, proving their ability to evolve while staying true to their core sound.

Eternal Ocean is proud to present its second musical offering in the format of a cassette mixtape and digital compilation of remixes, one-offs, flips and versions sourced from the broader Eternal Ocean family.  This 18-track release,  ‘A Little Seal vs. The World’ draws on the long history of bootlegs, remixes, acapella reworks and edits of Pop, RnB, and Hip-Hop tracks.  Centered around the melding of familiar voices and new rhythms, the compilation pays tribute to the enduring power of pop music to connect and inspire both on and off the dancefloor. 

Proceeds from this release will be donated to the Ocean Preservation Society, an organization that raises awareness of environmental issues threatening the ecosystems and biodiversity of our oceans, turning the global appeal of these original compositions towards a shared sense of both the contemporary and the future.

Veteran French producer, Maelstrom made his Cultivated Electronics debut in 2018 with ‘ECZO EP’.  Now more than two years later and following a new album on RAAR, he returns with another EP, this time for CE’s vinyl-only subsidiary, Cultivated Electronics Ltd.

Joan-Mael Péneau has been making music for over fifteen years, with a history of aliases and side projects, illegal raves thrown in warehouses, fields and basements, but he soon came into his own under his Maelstrom moniker, releasing music on the likes of RAAR (the label he co-founded with Louisahhh in 2015), Cultivated Electronics, Central Processing Unit, Mechatronica, Private Persons and Discos Atónicos.

Though his name suggests chaos, Maelstrom’s music delivers intention, focus and precision that are evident on his ‘Expression Directe’ EP, which features four new tracks of deep and expressive electro-funk.
