This is a chip tune cover of Neutral Milk Hotel's "Avery Island/April 1st" form the album "On Avery Island". I originally transcribed this fairly simple song to practice for my Ear Training class. I had just learned how to chip tune a few days ago, so I decided to try to make this song 8 bit. I think I did alright...

Avery Island/April 1st (8-Bit)

Hello everyone, here's another 8 bit cover!  This time, a Muse track called "Reapers" from the album "Drones".  This song took me some time to transcribe into 8 bit; I ran into a few problems along the way (finding time to actually produce the thing, school projects, the solo, etc.), but over all, I'm very satisfied with this project. I especially love the bridge before the second verse and the outro, it's what originally made me fall in love with this song. Defiantly my favourite song form this album. I'm now going to immediately start working on another song that a friend asked for. If you wanna hear an 8 bit version of your favourite song, shout me out on twitter and we'll work something out.



I'd like to give a special thanks and shout out to FrankJavCee. His music has inspired me to get off my ass and actually do something, even if it might not be recognised. I'd also like to thank him for uploading his "HOW TO MAGICAL 8BIT PLUGIN" video. Without it, I'd have no idea how to use the Magical 8Bit Plugin to its full capacity (I still need to figure out all the kinks but I've got a solid idea of how to use it).  Go listen to his music and watch his videos, they're hilarious.

Reapers (Muse Chiptune Cover)

Good day everyone! Here's a new 8 bit cover, this time "American Idiot" by Green Day (commissioned by one of my friends). I hope you guys like this cover and expect something actually original for my next project! How exciting!

American Idiot (Chiptune)

This is my sound-alike project I did for an MP&E class at Berklee. For this project, I was tasked to make a cover of a song that sounds as similar as the original as possible. I chose the song "Uncle Remus" by Frank Zappa, one of my favorite songs from one of my biggest inspirations.  I had so much fun working on and producing this and I am very proud with the result. Drums, piano, and bass were sequenced by me. Lead vocals and guitar were recorded at Studio E in Berklee College of Music.  Background vocals were recorded in my apartment in Boston.

Uncle Remus (Sound-alike)

ANOTHER MP&E PROJECT DONE!

For this project, I've done a "sound alike"/cover of the song "Just Like Heaven" by The Cure. I chose this song in part because it's a great song and I thought it would be fun work on (and it was) but mostly it's because of one thing: this is my mom's favorite song.
My mother has done so much for me, sacrificed so much so I could have the life I have now. Without her, I would not be who I am today.
You may not completely understand what I'm doing, but you believe in me and that's all I could ever ask for.
I love you mami.
