This spin on the classic is from a young, amazingly talented home grown up and comer named Aristo G. He will also be featuring in our ‘XPRESS Turns One’ show on April 22nd. A.P. Mono (Also Playable Mono) is a DJ and producer from Warsaw. He started DJing in 1999 but his music journey started back in the 80s, when he was growing up. Resident DJ for many clubs along Poland. He made his first steps in producing music in 1998. Along the years he used various aliases due to all the music genres he was involved in, from deep house and house to nu disco, funky and soul, from synth pop and nu romantic to italo disco. In 2015 after some break he decided to become more active on italo disco field again. He relaunched his 1980s related label under a new name and started to produce remixes and his own tracks inspired by 80s electronic music. He has remixed and produced for such artists and projects as Italoconnection, Savage, Peter Wilson, Eddy Huntington, Mike Mareen, Fancy, Fred Ventura, Knight$, Kristian Conde, Some Bizarre, Magic System, Taigher, Claudia T, Baby's Gang, Jackie Touche and produced for such labels as Flashback Records, Blanco Y Negro, Vintage Pleasure Boutique and ZYX Music.

About the Edit :

At a certain moment it really affected my emotions and I got inspired by the German, French and Dutch italo wave scene. The selection of many well-known DJs who combined fresh, progressive, minimal and lo-fi sounds in their sets with classic productions from the first half of the 80s, thus creating a unique mixture of beats, made me look at the italo scene in a different, unconventional way. Combining unobvious things settled in my head for good and I came to the conclusion that you can't close yourself only to the decade of the 80s. Italo has left its mark on dance electronic music and its echoes can be heard in club music of every next decade. Without a doubt. And so an idea appeared in my head to combine the sound of italo and hi nrg with house classics. "Music Sounds Better With You" in the italo reinterpretation has been pulsating in my head for two or three years already, but it was the enthusiasm of boys from Minitel that pushed me to make this happen. And so the italo remix of one of the most important pieces in the history of "french house" was created, which coincided with the celebration of the 25th anniversary of its release.

about the edit : " First of all, I always wanted to remix "Enjoy The Silence" since the day of its release. It's one of the most important songs of my life. This italo idea of a remix was playing in my head already for a few years. I started makin' it in 2019. I put first elements together, like kick, snare and bassline and then left the project for other things. 30 anniversary was a great opportunity to finally show it to the world, so I focused on this remix only on one of september's weekends and finally here it is. Enjoy."

Aleito dj and producer born in Andalucia, Spain.
With more than two decades of experience, he is an artist who feels comfortable on any stage, lover of the 80's pop sound with strong synthesizers, although where he feels more comfortable is the most classic house sound, adapting his sessions for all types of audiences.

House, Nu Disco, Funk, Deep, Dark Disco or Tech, Aleito will use all his experience in the booth to adapt all these styles making the public feel at ease on any dance floor.

In his "Live" side, Aleito fills his set with arpeggiated sounds and good grooves, which he accompanies with his drum machines and synthesizers in rigorous live, improvising on the spot, which makes that none of his performances is identical to the next.
He usually uses machines like the Moog Sub 37, Moog Mother 32, Roland Tr-8, Novation Peak, Roland Sh 101, among others depending on the setup for the specific moment.

Aleito has shared the stage with talents like Dani Cassarano (Cadenza), Ninetoes, Cuartero (Sanity), James Rod (Golden Soul), Felipe Valenzuela (Cadenza), Cora Novoa, Bea Tricks and more...
It is with this last artist with whom he shares stage for Vicius Live in 2018, performing a two-hour live analog show for the renowned brand.

As for his musical works, Aleito has collaborated remixing artists such as Azaria, Tiempo de Maldad, James Rod, From Beyond, Bosek, Myrddin, Azaria, Javier Bustos, Panko, Vigi,or Devakuo, and released on labels such as Paper Disco, Love Attack, U're Guay Records and Golden Soul.

Currently, together with James Rod and Azaria, Label owner of the Spanish nu disco label "Golden Soul Records" founded in 2015 in which artists like RAYKO,COPYCAT,TULIOXI,COPA TURBO,SOMERVILLE & WILSON,SLYNC,GET DOWN EDITS,DIM ZACH,MOLINAR,RIGOPOLAR,JARLE BRATHEN,PHUNKTASTIKE,JUAN SOTO...and which will soon incorporate to its ranks great names of the international nu disco scene.
