Artist statement for “Flight Impressions”

I composed this music under the direct emotional influence and inspiration of Sherman Alexie’s book “Flight”. Since the book is so unpredictable and turbulent, I tried to incorporate that in my composition. I also attempted to outline the whole story in a few scenes, each musical section describing another scene.

This was actually the final assignment for my English class in Berklee College of Music... How cool is that...?
