#ArtOfTechno (FR) Is a project initiated by Police Records, we decided to do something that reflect our techno culture, including some of the producer we respect, doing some original tunes in order to Dance, think or even chill on some trax, all this looking at the nineties vision of Techno.

The project will be released as a Decalogue, ten ep's & a cd/Vynil project that will recap the best tunes early 2015.

Alek drive is the spiritual son of producers like The Hacker, Arnaud Rebotini & all the other Techno Pioneer that create all their track using vintage machine.
His music is far away from the clean sound coming out from only computer music, it brings back to the time when techno was machine made, with many default as all tracks are made live.

We choose a newcomer for this second step, a bit risky, but sometimes, music is just stronger than interest & anyway you'll hear soon some ep done by big electronic producers on the #ArtOfTechno project !

In the meantime, enjoy this dark & superphat techno sound coming from the bowels of the Earth already supported by Sovnger, Pyramid, Tsugi Mag, Dr Motte, Angel molina & more TBA ;-)

debut album of this young french producer recorded in Australia and will be available in October, the 1st on UPR. Mastered by Eric Van Wonterghem at Prodam studio (Berlin)
Young 26 years old producer who started producing music in the south of France, he began his career at 21 after understanding that analog machines allowed him to create sounds differently than a contact between two physical objects, which is the case with traditional instruments.
Quickly, Alek bought his first synthesizers and spent days and nights to work on, absorbed by the vibrations of his electronic machines, until extracting the spirit of his own music.
Exorcist of his own young asocial devils, and a no doubt vision of an iron and chaotic future, Alek Drive’s music fascinate by a powerful strike force and surgical precision.
After a first EP (“Master Of Road” on Police Records and “Endless” with Edgework), the young French producer decided to merge technique and concept, giving a deepest meaning to his creations. He then left the country for a road trip on the other side of the world, initiatory travel from Nullarbord desert gates to the west coast of the large Australian continent.
In his bag, he doesn’t forget to bring a laptop, filled at the max with sounds made from his synthesizers and beatbox, and while facing the massive Ayers Rock, he decides to send his first album to Unknown Pleasures Records. The remarkable and futuristic result is entitled “Frontière” and will be released for the first time in CD digipack October 1st 2015. This monster of dark and powerful techno is here (CD version):
