Hot off the back of his iconic performance at our Keep Hush party, London-based artist-producer Sonikku is dropping a brand new EP on UTOPIA!

The first track ‘Talk To Me’ drops 7th May.

Arriving in a low poly universe designed by 3D artist Jasper Golding, we find Sonikku waiting in the rain at the corner of Myrtle Avenue and Broadway. Across his forthcoming EP, Sonikku tells the story of two starcrossed lovers who spend a fateful night falling in love to a soundtrack of pounding hardstyle and eurodance. ‘Talk 2 Me’ is the project’s opening act. Inspired by the tangled webs of connections that we call “nightlife”, Sonikku follows the two lovers on their descent into madness.

Positioned among club music’s most creative producers, SONIKKU is ascending since the release of his latest The World is Bleak and Sometimes Beautiful EP and his recent flip of ‘Lost Your Faith’ from international pop diva Ava Max. First gaining prominence with his thundering ‘Sweat’ single, beloved and remixed by SOPHIE, SONIKKU has released with labels like Steel City Dance Discs and Bella Union, alongside his own self-releases and collaborations with partiboi69, DJ_Dave and Deto Black.

SONIKKU - Talk 2 Me

Neurotic Drum Band remix of Chris Carter's 1985 track 'Moonlight', taken from the forthcoming release on Optimo Music. Other tracks include a remastered original version and a brooding Oneohtrix Point Never remix.

Please note that the tracks aren't remixes but rather reinterpretations as there were no parts to work with and they had to start from scratch.

Originally recorded between 1974 and 1978 at Industrial Records studio in London 'The Space Between' album was first released as a 90 minute cassette in 1980 on Throbbing Gristle's Industrial Records label. It wasn't until 1991 that it was again released by Mute Records on CD. Although tracks from 'The Space Between' have appeared on numerous compilations since its release, the album has never been available on vinyl until now. 

This new vinyl edition on Optimo Music, now retitled 'The Spaces Between', doesn't include all the tracks of the original album but has been enhanced and remastered from the original two-track master tapes and has new cover artwork especially for this release.
