🎵🎶 'I Walk With Ghosts' (Royalty-free music)🎶🎵
'I Walk With Ghosts' is a haunting, bittersweet neoclassical track featuring atmospheric synth blended with emotional strings. For me, it was an exploration of how we go through life with baggage that we all deal with in our own ways - ghosts of our past lives. It was heavily inspired by the artwork of Yun Ling, who creates wonderful works that often show a re-occurring character exploring a decaying, fantastical world. 

The track falls away at around 4:20, where I've added some manipulated recordings which add some reaching, contemplative moments before building back up for a final playthrough of the theme. I really enjoyed making this track, and I hope you all get something out of it for yourselves!

Arguably the largest Dark Ambient project to date, the Cthulhu album is a collaboration between 12 artists who all worked together to pay tribute not only to Lovecraft, but to what lurks beyond our colorful illusion.

Cthulhu - A Cryo Chamber Collaboration

Council of Nine (California, USA) debuts with a carefully crafted and masterfully produced album that carries the listener to a place of ancient history, through death into the void beyond. Previously known for his celebrated work on the Tomb of Empires split album, he shows here what he can do when given free range to encapsulate the listener on a full album. 
The bowed reverberation echoes across time and space while the holy sub frequencies of the universe are used to great effect to create a textural backdrop to isolation.

Council of Nine -  The Magi

Aokigahara (青木ヶ原), known as the Suicide Forest is a 35-square-kilometre forest that lies at the northwest base of Mount Fuji in Japan. Aokigahara forest is dense, shutting out all but the natural sounds of the forest itself. The forest has an historic association with demons in Japanese mythology, and it is a notoriously common suicide site. 

Duncan Ritchie explores the long journey to Aokigahara through soundscapes ripe with lonely pianos on textural backdrops. Duncan spent countless hours field recording on the voyage between Tokyo to Aokigahara which creates the perfect atmospheric companion to the intricate instrumental approach. Flowers For Bodysnatchers - Prisoner Of Night And Fog

A 190 minute dark soundscape album recorded by 25 ambient artists to pay tribute to H.P. Lovecraft. 

Field recordings from the deepest dark corners of 4 continents. Dusty tapes out of forgotten archives. Strings through crackling amplifiers and distorted drone combine into a sea of pitch black. 

Nyarlathotep is a manipulative being in the Lovecraftian Mythos. Unlike Cthulhu, or Azathoth, he delights in cruelty and deception. Causing madness is more important than destruction to him. 
Smell the burning embers as you kneel outside the sunken temple before Nyarlathotep. Feel the raspy touch of the faceless pharaoh as he leads you to the ancient Pyramid. Hear his inhuman summoning call to gods beyond reality. 

So is this a compilation? 
No, this is a collaboration and huge undertaking. 25 artists linked studios and sound for over a year so that they could work with each other. This led to deeper exploration of the Mythos and Nyarlathotep.

Ugasanie is back with a new album focused on the people of the Tundra and the North. 

The Nenets, Tungus, Eveneki, Yakut share many beliefs and in the center stands the shaman. We follow him through his inner journey while tackling shaman's disease. Clouded consciousness and hysterical stupor clear signs of the Amanita Mushroom. His sweat covered body feverish while pulled to the lower world of spirit. Here his weathered body cut and torn to pieces by the spirits who cook and devour it. Meanwhile in the dim lit hut the shamans body starts bruising while the tribe watches over him. Reborn, the Shaman awakens, granted powers to traverse between worlds. With the gift to cure his tribe of sickness, to control animals and commune with the spirits. 

Ugasanie is a true master of polar ambient. For lovers of cold ambience, this album is a must have.

Paleowolf is the side project of Scorpio V of Metatron Omega. 
A prehistoric journey from before civilization made it's mark on the world. Archaic drums echo through the riparian forests. Thick smoke from bonfires snake their way over charred and painted skulls, the spoils of war from opposing tribes. Distant sounds of the forest paints the canvas of a world untouched by modern man. The paleolithic shamans chant powerful over the tribal drums as ancient man rises from prey to predator. The night is young and the feral hunt is about to begin.

The two bearded Swedes join forces on this collaborative album. Black Corner Den is the result of long winter studio sessions separated by the atlantic ocean but made possible by the internet. Lonely moments in the company of the night lamp, overlooking the messy pile of tape loops while the machines hummed and the piano played until the morning. 

Exploring the opium dens at the end of the 19th century this album takes you deep into the soothing dreams of dead poets. 

"The streets lay silent as the floor creeks under your bare feet. The old loft lit by a wax candle, it's light dancing over your oak desk. You grab the vial of black ink and the leather bound book as you scurry out the door into the humid night. You pass trails of fire as the lamplighter tends to the myriad lanterns adorning the bridge. A left turn leads you down a set of stone stairs where the satin clad lounge welcomes you in. 

Sweet smoke lingers in here where gentlemen gather to dream about the black sea. Your booth at the far end stands prepared. A pipe, tinderbox and purple pillow for a tired head. You have a friend tonight and it calls itself the Black Corner Den." 

Pär Boström’s dreamlike soundscapes combines with the careful melodies and elegant structures of Simon Heath. The perfect soundtrack for decadent nights or introverted reading sessions, preferably combined.
