ዴዝዴሞና - Desdemona

Alemayehu Hirpo (Alex) is one of the famous Ethiopian vocalists who was considered the best of his time. Though he was born as Alemayehu Hirpo, he is popularly known as Alex Hirpo. Alex began his career in the 1990s and released three albums consecutively.

Alex who’s well known for his distinctive voice has recorded a variety of Ethiopian songs in Amharic and inspired many Ethiopians and the diasporas ever since he began his music career, however, it was his Evangadi album which he produced with another famous Ethiopian singer, Gossaye Tesfaye that made him an Ethiopian music sensation, and gained him huge recognition and admiration in Ethiopia as well as among Ethiopian Diaspora across the globe.
