Sunset At Sea - deep house mix by Dj Alen Silobod (17.07.2021.)

Alen Silobod lives in Bregana, little town 30km from Zagreb, Croatia. Bregana is located near the border with Slovenia so he’s musically present in 2 countries. 

His first DJ experiences were in elementary school, when he was 12 years old and was tasked with school music setup for a school party. He fell in love with the sound, he went on to build his first hi-fi amplifier, and that love is present to this day.
Like many of us, he started experimenting with different kinds of music throughout his youth and in 1995 he traveled with friends to a New Year party in Amsterdam where he first encountered electronic music, and when he returned to Croatia, everything changed.

Electronic music changed his life and his perspective on life. After many parties and the DJ phase in 1999 he felt a creative urge to open a differend kind of underground club where people would feel like at home. With two friends, he spent over a year decorating an abandoned disco and he opened Tesmo Club in Dobova, Slovenia, near the Croatian border. Tesmo welcomed many famous DJ-s from Croatia and Slovenia, and some of them were international, like DJ Dixon from Berlin. After many sessions in Croatia and Slovenia in small clubs, coffee houses and weddings of dear friends, in 2015 Alen expanded his musical flavour and started doing workshops in healing through sound and using and experimenting with tibetan bowls, gongs, hang-drums, shamanic drums etc.

Except music, his hobby is exterior design and after many years of hard work he created his private oasis in his home where he plays Deep house for his friends, conducts workshops of healing through sound and cooks vegetarian food.
Alen doesn’t live from DJing sessions but performs out of pure joy for the last 20 years, and he owns a bookstore/publishing company that sells spiritual books (www.harsa.hr).
