Over the last couple of years or so two artists that have really shone for us in the house world are @donniemoustaki and @sweetfruitybrunch. Musically they were a breath of fresh air combining jazz chops, with a distinctly European edged house sound and some incredible keys. Online information was scant, to say the least, as both artists were apparently more than happy to focus on the music rather than the socials but it turns out that they in fact the same person.

Demi-Monde started off in 2016 as a party series… from cross-périphérique basements to *Ambient Sessions* in abandoned rehearsal spaces, and massive club nights at La Machine du Moulin Rouge, La Rotonde Stalingrad and Concrete (Paris).

"Aurèle & Friends Vol. 1" is a tribute to the friendships I have built over the years within the electronic music scene. The result is a polychromatic bouquet of club tracks, oscillating between electro, breaks, rave and trance.

All tracks produced between Paris, Copenhague, Berlin & Montreal. Curated through friendship.

We're super pleased to be launching this new mix series with none other than Marcel Vogel. He came down to play for us back in October at Bungalows & Bears, and we had the foresight to record what ended up being a really fantastic set... Uploaded here in its full glory, as recorded and heard on the night through our Bozak AR-4 + Klipschorns combo.

For those that don't know him, Marcel is an Amsterdam based DJ, producer, party host, and label manager. Head honcho of the 'Lumberjacks in Hell' and 'Intimate Friends' imprints, the man of many talents is a wicked selector, and someone it was a real pleasure to host at our party.
