"Return To Forever" wholeheartedly believes that we live in an era where music taste is constantly evolving. There’s a growing desire for iconic sounds and infectious beats that previously defined electronic music. By blending this music from the past, Return To Forever aims to capture the timeless appeal of the 80s and 90s, infusing it with modern production techniques and fresh approaches to create exciting new sounds. This fusion opens up exciting possibilities for experimentation and the evolution of electronic music, fueled by nostalgia. By bridging the gap between past and present, this label is a platform for established artists and emerging talents to showcase their creativity and contribute in the ongoing evolution of electronic music.

This 10-track compilation is the result of our strong beliefs. We start the journey guided by the cosmic synths of emerging artist Galope Messier, who perfectly captures that 80s vibe. Then label boss Miguel de Bois takes the lead with a high-energy Euro Dance Trance track. We also dive into the darker side of the 80s and 90s synthesizers with three mind-blowing EBM tracks by Arvin T, Alen Skanner, and TAPIIA. Return To Forever is all about bringing back that old-school nostalgia, and Doctr and Mundo D nailed it with their incredible italo disco tracks that are bursting with energy, guaranteed to set the dance floor on fire. Having appeared on esteemed imprints like Rekids, Klockworks, Dystopian and Deeply Rooted, Hester’s Participation imprint kicks off early October and will be an outlet for his own output as well as collaborative efforts with fellow artists in the global techno and house community. Already underway, we can look forward to projects with Kwench boss and Panorama Bar favourite Cassy, as well as Tadeo, who’s built a solid standing on his own outlets Madrid Techno, Another Intelligence and Cyclical Tracks, also as an early contributor to Jeff Mills’ Escape Velocity series. The collaborative projects will be realized over a reciprocal exchange of sketches between artists, visualised by the artwork for each release which will be a simple one-line drawing from Hester himself – underscoring the directness, honesty, and immediacy of the music presented.

The suitably named ‘Participation 001’ kickstarts Jon Hester’s newly minted Participation label with two original solo tracks. ‘Unidentified Aerial Phenomena’ sets the scene with layers of droning, syncopated rhythms shot through with mysterious signals. The second track, Hyperspace, is a mind-warping offering featuring huge synths, rolling grooves, and high-impact drops, completing this first EP built to elevate dance floors across the universe.

After her debut on renowned French labels such as Ritmo Fatale and Dischi Autunno, Zaatar is now self-releasing her new track called Leaving For The Sky.

The lyrics are based on the song « Zahrat al-Mada’en » written in 1967 by Said Akl for the Lebanese singer Fairuz, and which extol the city of Jerusalem (Al-Quds) and and its future liberation. The track is considered a music and a literary reference in the Arab world. The selection of words that Zaatar kept for her own track express the prayers towards the people who lost their life not only during the violent events that took place in Jerusalem in the past but also the ones that are taking place today in the whole area.

The track is following the style that Zaatar has been developing in her previous work such as Abiad Al Layali and Zankat Mimosas which she defines as "Transarabic Body Music" and that she shares on stage during her sets as a DJ.
