Under his SCB moniker, Scuba released 'Caibu', a twelve track LP of cerebral techno, darkened disco and broken beats on Hotflush in April 2018. It's an album that draws strength from introspection, merging subdued hypnotism, syncopated basslines and visceral ambience to find its centre. The first in a series of remixes to emerge of tracks from the album will be two contrasting interpretations of 'Extinct' by ANNA and Ireen Amnes, due out on the 29th of June.

Amelie Lens @ Awakenings Festival 2018 (01-07-2018)

One sided limited edition vinyl only run (300 copies) and digital due on Nov 22nd.....of the huge Radio Slave remix of Simon Baker’s "Too Slow". From Simon's forthcoming album "Traces" on 2020 Vision in 2011. This track has only been previously heard on the Ralph Lawson "We Love" mix CD. With a remix titled "Parorama Garage Mix" we should know what to expect from the offset really. A heavy, punchy kick / bass pattern that hits you just below the ribs is the glue that holds this particular beast together. Add to this discordant, ketamine influenced sounds that cause disorientation, tension and drama; on this particular example it sounds like hordes of machine-insects feasting on neon corpses. The arrangment builds slowly but continuously, in that ever-peaking fashion that the Berliners love so much. Sublime, driving, super-late night club music (don't try playing this before 4am please), and so darkly glorious with it. Micro-breakdowns and rising string parts WILL take you close to climax. Head for the smoke machine, close your eyes and enjoy the ride...
