Hoyer recorded his first songs and mixes in 1993 when he was around eleven or twelve years old. He did this with the help of keyboard and cassette recorders. In 1995 he started using the computer for his music. He was able to release his music in demo form through the Ruffneck label and so he was eventually picked up by DJ Ruffneck (Patrick van Kerckhoven) in 1998, when he was sixteen, and he got a contract for his two labels, Gangsta and Supreme Intelligence. He didn't have a real permanent name then; his first songs came under the name Trypticon and later the name Ophidian followed. At first he did not achieve much success, but enough to be offered a new contract in 2001 by Enzyme Records. There he was given the space he was looking for, to be seriously involved with music and school, where he also did a music direction. He built his own recording studio. A little later he also founded the sub-label Enzyme X.

Ophidian's real breakthrough came after he released the song "Butterfly VIP". Thanks to this song he played at many parties like Thunderdome and Masters of Hardcore.

Gracing stages at Masters of Hardcore, Thunderdome, Terrordrang, and Deadtown, and contributing to labels like NoisekickRecords, Intensive Core, HKV, Oblivion Underground, Xtreme Audio Violence, and United Speedcore Nation, Mozz is currently making significant strides across Europe with his high-speed Hardcore and Terror performances.
