This work is inspired by one of main themes of this collection of drawings: man and the relationship with his body, physical pain and with everyday sorrows.

Fire, breath and self punishment are the main elements of this composition that aims to take the listener into a domain of physical sorrow and mystical ecstasy.

Pene Corporali (Corporal sorrows)

In this work, I explore the concept of creation of a new life by depicting the moment when the heart of my son started beating for the first time: its primordial rhythm emerges from the silence as light emerges from darkness. 

The the miracle of life is rendered as a quest for a stable equilibrium, a search for an archetype rhythm.

This track features the sound of Robert Dorian in the womb. when he was 4 months.


Genesis (RD I)

Original composition made for the Italian painter Daniela Alfarano (www.danielaalfarano.com) as soundtrack of her last exhibition "Precis" held in May 2012 at Museo Diocesano in Milan, Italy.
Stabat Mater is a contemporary concrete music hymn inspired to Jacopone da Todi's "Stabat Mater Dolorosa" (Sorrows of Mary). In this work, the concept of prayer is explored in its multiple dimensions to guide the listener into a personal meditation space. Using natural sound of languages to reveal prayer global essence, the sorrows of Mary are materialized in a sound space and blended together in a sonic portrait that depicts human struggle and its need for mysticism.

Stabat Mater

"Spiritus Martis", the breath of Mars, an ambient composition inspired by the wind sound captured by NASA on from Mars in December 2018.

NOTE: the track features very low frequencies: use headphones or a sub-woofer for an optimal listening experience. 

Description:
The composition features samplings of NASA original recordings, which have been manipulated and blended with an original soundscape to recreate natural elements like air, water and dust.

The main theme of the work is the exploration of space: it's about imaging life on Mars, how it could have been when it was possible, or how it could be in the future when man will colonize it.

This composition will be further developed and accompanied by an original video that will be produced with the help of independent videomaker Michele De Benedetti.
