Born with the same passion for sound, "Musique pour deux corps" brings together the duo Ingar Zach/Michele Rabbia for their second release. The two percussionists present an album full of invention, research, and development of a new percussion-music, using an unlimited and inexhaustible material that only percussion can
offer. The skins are used as surfaces to make different metals, wood and objects resonate, and the electronics are introduced to make evident some of the infinite layers that can revealed behind the natural sound. The two instrumentalists share the same instrumental set-up. With their gestures the propose a dance of sound and visual sensitivity.

Alessandro Sgobbio follows up the critically acclaimed "Piano Music" (album) from 2022, with the 3rd single from an upcoming album. 

Asker is dedicated to composer, pianist and Sgobbio’s mentor Misha Alperin. The composition takes its name from Norwegian town Asker (which also means “ash trees”) where Alperin and Sgobbio used to have longs walks and long music talks - surrounded by the silent Norwegian nature, endless trees and fjords. Asker is a meditative piano & electronic walk, inspired by unique unforgettable personal memories.

All music is composed and recorded on a stunning Fazioli F278 Grand Piano and added live electronic effects.

Sofa Music is proud to present the solo debut album of Norwegian composer and sound artist Tine Surel Lange. 

Works for Listening 1-10 is a series of spatial electro-acoustic works developed at Notam (NO), MISC (LT), and EMS (SE). All the works are made in 5th order ambisonics but have been presented in many different formats- as in this stereo decoding of the works.

In Works for Listening, there is a strong focus on listening-aesthetics and our psychological categorization of sound. Surrounding sound environments are created with material taken from everyday life: organic sound sources reconstructed to varying degrees by tone, rhythm, timbre, and layers. The sonic material in Works for Listening appears physical and tactile, and often abstracted from their original state. 
As Tine Surel Lange expresses herself: With Works for Listening, I hope to create inspiration for increased listening experiences in life.

Composer, pianist, producer Alessandro Sgobbio keeps expanding his personal vocabulary of compositions, improvisations and spiritual explorations throughout music. He has been voted one of the best new jazz talents of the year at the Italian 2022 TopJazz Polls. Sgobbio has earned Master’s Degrees at the Norwegian Academy of Music (Norway) and the Parma Conservatory of Music (Italy), releasing 13 albums as a leader / co-leader. Performing internationally as a soloist, duo and with his bands Silent Fires and Hitra, Alessandro Sgobbio has been touring across Europe, Scandinavia, UK, China and the USA. His recent releases “Forests” (2019), “Transparence” (2021) and Piano Music (2022) have been albums of the month / album of the year on Musica Jazz, Europe Jazz Network, Jazzism Magazine and several international press outlets.
