Partendo dagli estremi frequenziali dello strumento, vengono generati alcuni layer metrici e di altezze, attraverso  calcoli combinatori e flessi intervallari. L’architettura del pezzo deriva dunque interamente da processi combinatori e numerici.
L’elettronica va ad allargare i limiti dello strumento attraverso operazioni di arricchimento spettrale, aggiungendo dunque armoniche e parziali, e ha inoltre una funzione architettonica che si evince dal riutilizzo nel tempo del materiale stesso rielaborato.

Starting from the instrument frequency extremes, some metric and pitchclass layers are generated, through combinatorial calculations and interval flexures. The piece's composition therefore derives entirely from combinatorial and numerical processes.
The electronics improves the limits of the instrument through operations of spectral enrichment, thus adding harmonics and partials, and also has an architectural function that emerges from the reuse over time of the elaborated material.

Dello Spazio e Della Superficie I

Italian composer, electroacoustic performer & sound designer.

She began her musical training in 1996, first as a guitarist and then moving on to electric bass. Among her teachers stand out, Lamberto Maggi and Daniele Mencarelli. Throughout her career as a bass player she has played with numerous groups and has more than 600 live concerts under her belt, including squares, festivals and private or corporate events.

She currently collaborates as a teacher of Electric Bass with the Municipal School of Pontassieve (FI) (where she is also a teacher of Musical Production and Ensemble Music), with the Municipal School of Music of Greve in Chianti (FI) (where she is also a teacher of Music Production), with the Municipal School of Music of Terranuova Bracciolini (AR) (where she is also a teacher of Music Production and Ensemble Music) and the Ex Fila School of Music in Florence. She also carries out teaching activities as a freelancer in her private studio and online.

Her teaching commitment is translated into the drafting of a method for teaching the electric bass, as well as the production of a series of free tutorials which will soon be released on her YouTube channel.

She graduated with honorable mention under the guidance of Maestri such as L. Ceccarelli, S. Pappalardo, F. Cifariello Ciardi, F. Antonioni, P. Rotili and M. Momi. She has been musically active both as a performer and a composer in Italy, UK, USA, Mexico, Spain, Germany etc. Her Works have been performed, among others, in festivals such as NYCEMF – New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival, MUSLAB Electroacoustic Music International Exhibition (Mexico), Mediagrammi (Berlin), etc

As a performer she played for/with Francesco Giomi, Tempo Reale, Simone Pappalardo and others. Furthermore M-Flute A/V Performance was selected in MA/IN Matera Intermedia Festival 2018, Teatri di Vetro and UKYA 2019 – UK Young Artists City Takeover (Nottingham). She also supervised the sound engineering for various international events, including the Festival Dei Due Mondi in Spoleto.

She actively collaborates with various personalities of the Italian and European panorama, such as Carlo Caloro, Salvatore Insana, Michele Ragni, Filippo Gualazzi, Niki Lada, Leonardo Damiani, Riccardo Truffarelli. In 2019 she also made sound design for an interactive solo exhibition in which the Maestro of photography and documentary Riccardo Truffarelli shows his forty years of career.

From 2024 she deals with the coordination and direction of musical activities within the independent space for artistic research artQ13, in particular composition and sound design for events and installations, technical and creative support for artists and collaborative projects and research and development of new technologies applied to sound and artistic performances.

Now she is working on a research about the sense of sounds inspired by F. Dogana and J.J. Nattiez theories (with [tis ixu’s] Ensemble) and as sound designer for Dehors/Audela in Aporie. As solo artist her focus is about repetition, aesthetics of error and finding an “other sense” through extemporary sounds.

In 2020 she was Sound Design Professor in Bari Academy of Fine Arts.

In 2024 she is Sound Design Professor in National Academy of Dramatic Art “Silvio d’Amico” in Rome.

She’s member of DDoS A/V Project and [tis ixu’s] Ensemble.

In 2024/2025 she is Professor of Electroacoustic Musical Composition at the “G. B. Pergolesi” Conservatory of Fermo.
