▪️ Alessia Cattani, geboren in Italien und seit über 25 Jahren in Augsburg lebend, entdeckte schon als Kind ihre Leidenschaft für Musik. Nach Erfahrungen als Sängerin in einer Jazzband und im Schulchor, kam sie 2017 zum Techno.

▪️ Seit 2019 legt sie selbst auf und begeisterte seit 2021 in Clubs wie dem Club Paradox, Bellini Club, Fefe Club, Rockfabrik Augsburg, MS Connexion Complex, Kantine Augsburg, Club Douala, Central Erfurt und Studio 56.

▪️ Ihre energiegeladenen Sets reißen das Publikum mit und machen sie zu einer festen Größe in der Technoszene.

The A-side presents Obscure Shape's first face: It opens with 'Zwei Seiten', a no-frills banger that hits with immediacy and drive. 'Im Angesicht Der Zeit', the single, leans into groove and movement, offering a more fluid, time-aware flow. 'Die Haut In Der Ich Wohne' pares things back into a minimalistic, looping hypnosis, evoking the idea of inhabiting one's own skin. On the B-side, presenting the producer's second face, 'Spuren Des Werdens' features producer AMIYE and introduces more melody and saw synths, a reflection on growth and transformation. The closer, 'Von Hoffnung Getragen' – also a collaboration with AMIYE – lifts off with ethereal vocals and a bouncing rhythm, embodying the hope that carries us forward.

With the 'Zwei Gesichter' EP, Obscure Shape crafts a powerful narrative through groove, form and feeling, perfectly aligned with Backspin's evolving reinterpretation of early 2000s techno.

The native Italian, Alessia Cattani, discovered her love for music at an early age. After moving to Germany over 20 years ago, she drew inspiration from various musical influences—from singing in choirs to performing in a jazz band. However, her true passion ignited on the dance floor: the driving rhythms, pulsating basslines, and hypnotic energy of techno captivated her increasingly.

In 2019, she shifted perspectives and took control of the decks herself. Since then, she has been developing her own sound—powerful, bass-heavy, and full of energy, yet always melodic and captivating.

Her sets are particularly characterized by the deliberate use of vocals, creating emotional depth and allowing listeners to form an even more intense connection to the music. Whether dark and mystical or euphoric and powerful, her track selection always tells a story, drawing the crowd into a mesmerizing sonic world.
