After releasing a first glimpse in the form of the ‘Atomos VII’ EP earlier this year, A Winged Victory For The Sullen finally reveal their second full-length album entitled ‘Atomos’, which besides familiar piano, string and drone sounds also sees the duo introduce flurries of electronics, harp and modular synthesisers.

Wayne McGregor, founder of Random Dance Company and resident choreographer at the Royal Ballet, chose to play the album repeatedly during practices with his core group of dancers. After noticing the group's reaction with the music, he contacted Adam and Dustin to see if they could write the score for his new oeuvre. The duo were given complete artistic freedom and they treated the score with the same care and attention as their debut album. They recorded more than sixty minutes of music over a four-month period during the summer of 2013 across studios in Brussels, Berlin and Reykjavik, with the help of their long time collaborative sound engineer Francesco Donadello. During the recording process they realised, that this would become their official second studio album. McGregor provided them with the inspiration to expand their sound palette into more electronic territory, whilst keeping their signature chamber sound, resulting in a very unique record.

Following 2015’s lauded album Molok, which reached 16th in BBC Radio 1's Rock Charts, Gazpacho have released their new studio album entitled Soyuz, joining a series of concept records that started with the critically acclaimed Night in 2007.

A band who are used to seizing headlines with bizarre stories, including The Independent (UK)  branding Molok as "An album that could destroy the world", Gazpacho  have a holistic approach to the album writing process, imbuing each with a captivating concept. The songs of Soyuz are a series of short interconnected stories of people frozen in time, with the tracks "Soyuz One" and "Soyuz Out" written about the first Russian Space capsule and its doomed captain, Komarov. The closing song "Rappaccini" tells of our human possessions that survive beyond our lifetime, and features the first known recording of the human voice from 1860.

Known also for their distinctive art rock that balances tense and beautiful arrangements, sinister and soulful melodic lines, Gazpacho's Soyuz furthers their experimental output. The album includes the singles "Soyuz One", "Exit Suite" and "Hypomania". It was recorded at Krypton Planet & St. Croix Fredrikstad in Norway, engineered by Thomas Andersen, Kristian Torp and Mikael Kroemer, mixed by John Rausch and mastered by Sonovo Mastering's Thor Legvold. The artwork, designed by painter Antonio Seijas, is inspired by Russian Cold War colours and fonts from the Soyuz One flight era.

Gazpacho have announced their first tour in support of Soyuz, taking their new live performance to the UK and Europe from late May to early June, and have also been booked for Spain's Be Prog! My Friend summer festival.
