To me the song Born of a Broken Man by Rage Against the Machine ￼is about the collective ancestral trauma of colonialism that has conditioned us into a life we never chose and a society that normalizes greed and destruction. The cycle of abuse continues and we collectively suffer no matter what role is played. But none of that defines us, it’s our generation and even though we are born into these bonds it is our choice to continue down that road or pave our own path forward to break the cycle 🔄 Born of a Broken Man but not a broken man, born of a broken man, never a broken man! These lyrics bring tears to my eyes of grief from the collective pain, primal rage against the oppressive forces and liberation of passionate hope. 
Rage Against the Machine self titled was the first full album I owned and Evil Empire was the first album 💿 I ever payed for. They have been one of my favorite bands since I was 8 years old and it’s an honor to remix one of my favorite songs of all time
