Your Vahana greets you with a melancholy essay in C minor on the nature of time, the relentless march of fate; and finding hope, and oneself, in the sisyphean struggle against it.

Instrumental demo of the lead single from Vahana's upcoming concept album, Aleph Nul; a semi-autobiographical parable of a boy who can't stop trying to count to infinity instead of living life, until finally realising that she's actually a girl.

This song uses the tools and language of post-grunge progressive rock to explore in depth how motivic fragments are developed symphonically with neurotic metamorphosis and obsessive inevitability. It also attempts to showcase a significant challenge for future interpreters to perform, both technically and emotively.

Among the concepts personified & worshipped in Greek mythology, and repeatedly discussed & defined in philosophy, was that of "truth" - as in disclosure; an expression that un-conceals - by the name, Aletheia.

Music, as sound, is really the language of movement. Until recently, movements unique to human bodies - which have aletheial truths all their own to disclose, given the means. I'm obsessed with all the inventions that have extended the expressive language of human hands (also lungs, feet, etc.) through time, and what our bodies still have left to say about themselves, our minds, and our societal interrelationships.
