Bold Pattern of Life was the first project that Tim and Alex worked on and embodies their love of rave music and electronica. Inspired by the likes of Leftfield, Gorillaz, and 90s dance music, the track celebrates self-expression, identity, and inclusivity…’Wear your colours proudly - we all are tribal’. Their passion for environmental sustainability is also evident in the third verse - ‘Nature is a gift, let’s save it while we’re able’. The spiral of life represents evolution and growth - progress we can all embrace and enjoy.

An adventure where shipwrecked adventurers take on the evil magic that has affected a small village, ‘The Quest’ is an indie rock journey for all fans of myth, fantasy and Brit pop. It’s reminiscent of Dire Straits’ ‘Sultans of Swing’ and contains imagery familiar to those who have ever played Dungeons and Dragons, love stories set in the Middle Ages, or simply like J.R.R. Tolkien’s books. ‘Ready bow, staff, and sword’ - the adventure continues with For the Ages.

For The Ages has worked extensively on the arrangement, that all started with a very catchy guitar hook. Such talented musicians contributed the very best that  they had to offer in 'Afro Boutique' - from the charismatic bass line and punchy drums, to the silky smooth backing vocals and captivating horns. 'Romeo and Juliet' by Dire Straits is a song treasured by Alex and many others partially as it draws on the fantastic classic story of star-crossed lovers. 'Mythic Bounty' seeks to earn its place in the hearts and minds of those that appreciate great folk rock music, paying homage to the romance between Robin Hood and Maid Marion. Starting with a gentle airy acoustic guitar sequence, it quickly builds up to a rousing chorus, drawing in a mix of references to the spiritual and romantic elements that characterised that fantastic love story.

Tim and Alex’s common love of bands from a vast range of genres, and ambition to produce an eclectic choice of music, sparked the creation of For The Ages.

Tim currently studies music in London. He has played drums or guitar at countless gigs and likes skating, gaming, and jabbering! Like Tim, Alex is interested in Sci-Fi fantasy and science in general! He has studied psychology and environmental management and acted in some small roles (e.g. Channel 4’s Comedy Lab). Somerset-born, Alex’s long-term ambition is to have an organic farm where he can hold festivals.

For The Ages’ aim is to create tracks that will stand the test of time.
