DESCRIPTION
This much hyped Rayko track gets a super cool 12″ split-release with the romantic newcomers The Glue on the flip. Believe the hype, this is a monster!
Untz Untz unleash their third release, and this time its a shiny red love disc.
First up is the spanish edit don Rayko, known from releases on labels such as Eskimo, Kojak Giant Sounds, Lumberjacks In Hell… and of course his own Rare Wiri label. He is known for crunching out 2-3 great edits every week. This edit must really have struck a chord with the Untz Untz guys leading to them begging on their knees for it the same day it appeared on his Soundcloud. On his ‘Die For You’ edit he slaps on a old school disco bassline on top of the purple smurf that we all love. Resulting in taking him straight to the club peak-time, saturday night style. This is made for a dancefloor!

On the flip we see the slow-mo-house-disco duo The Glue. Little is known about these mystic newcomers other than that they are based in Bergen, Norway and that they are very much into r’n'b and soul music. This edit came about after finding it in a box of 600 7″s from the 80s/90s that they bought for almost nothing at a flea market. On the ‘A Broken Heart’ edit they are carefully building up a cosy mood before dropping in the vocals half-way through this 9 minute heartbreaking song. And then finishing it of with a man softly cooing ‘I Love You, Don’t Ever Break My Heart’. Lets hope its not true that: A Broken Heart Can’t Mend.

Rayko - Die For You

With over five decades of success and influence, Vincent Montana Jr., Producer, Arranger, Composer, Conductor and renowned Vibraharpist, continues to be a vital force in music today. With countless gold and platinum awards to his name, his contribution and dedication to the music industry has inspired and profoundly affected many producers, DJs, artists, musicians, listeners and dancers alike. 

Among the numerous credits to his name, Montana is most recognized for his integral role in both the development of 'The Philadelphia Sound' as key MFSB rhythm section member and established studio musician for Philadelphia International Records as well as dance pioneer of the 'Disco Era' as the creative and driving force behind the legendary Salsoul Orchestra. Further contributions include his remarkable productions with The Montana Orchestra and Goody Goody (Atlantic Records) and particularly, the signature club classics on his own “Philly Sound Works” label.

Given the era in which these recordings were made, the music of Vincent Montana, Jr. was produced with a futuristic perspective; this is evident due to the fact that his grooves and riffs are still being sampled and utilized to this day. The staying power of his enduring career is certainly because of his exceptional good taste and diversified talent, but also is the fact that although he is firmly rooted in traditional instruments and ways, he has managed to embrace newer styles and to use technology to his advantage.

Even now Montana continues to make his mark on the industry, whether directly through his efforts with today's most prominent artists and producers - Dimitri From Paris: "The Way You Love Me", Masters At Work: “Nuyorican Soul”, “The Boss”, “Always There”, David Morales: Pet Shop Boys “New York City Boy” or indirectly via sampling of his catalogue - DJ Spiller: “Groovejet-If This Ain’t Love”, Mariah Carey: “O.O.C.–Out Of Control” and the latest sample, Estelle Ft. Rick Ross: “Break My Heart”. Both the man and his music show no signs of slowing down. He returns once again with his latest projects complete with lush strings, distinct arrangements, cool vibes and all the added touches, quality, musicianship and originality expected of a “Montana Production”.

"All Over Your Face" is a song recorded by American singer Ronnie Dyson. The song, written and produced by Butch Ingram, was released in 1983 by Cotillion Records. The song was mixed by the Morales and Munzibai duo.

"All Over Your Face" reached number 23 on the US R&B chart and number 16 on the US dance chart.[

Lone Comet is the first collaboration EP between Daniel Monaco and Shubostar the two met during 2019 Amsterdam Dance Event, spent little time at Danielʼs Studio in an isolated place right outside Amsterdam where they started to jam, soon after Shubostar left to continue her tour but their work didnʼt stop since the tracks took shape in the very same place where they started as jams, a constant communication between the two artists was the key to create a balance between their styles in order to make an EP that speaks out for both Daniel Monacoʼs Basslines & Sharp Drums and Shubostarʼs deep cosmic spirit. 

To enrich this collaboration and friendship no one better than common friend and powerful producer Freudenthal of Pardon Moi could have been asked to come in the picture contributing with a
marvellous remix of the track called “Disco Star Machine” extra fire power is given by the amazing Spanish produces Parissior which masterfully remixed “Lone Comet”.

Signed by Belgian rising talent Strapontin and including remixes by Damon Jee and Thomass Jackson, 10th Hard Fist release is on the way. ‘The End of Logic’, as the title says, is an ode to nonsense for the pleasure of absurdity that strongly echoes today’s context: a world going mad.
 
Being the first vinyl EP of Strapontin, the music here is a solution to escape the widespread pessimism and an injunction to look for happiness. Strapontin flies over a not right-thinking society with derision. More clubby as ever, the record also has something very unusual, a frenetic pace which always comes when we do not expect it.
 
To emphasize the senselessness, the multi-talented artist created with his boyfriend Yvan Megal a video game: ‘Nervous Days’ which is the first track of the EP. The game is a mad rush for virtual recognition, underscoring people's egocentricity.
 
The strong singularity in this piece comes from the cross-disciplinary skills of Patrick Belmont aka Strapontin who is a visual artist, a performer and a producer. He started to release music under Strapontin in 2014 after spending 15 years learning music and studying fine art. Dark can be fun, disco can be sad, violence can be pleasant. Strapontin is not a man afraid of trying new things. Signed to the labels Optimo, I’m A Cliché, la Belle or Nein Records, the Belgian artist has crafted his own style located somewhere in an unknown land between post punk, tribal downtempo and dark disco. With heavy, sensual beats, other-worldly vocals and cavernous basslines, his view of music is adventurous and mindful with a taste of queerness. You probably have caught him lately remixing Karpov Not Kasparov, Golden Bug, Vox Low or brilliantly editing bombs for I’m A Cliché. He’s also part of different dance collectives, usually working as a soundtrack composer, which has influenced his uncompromising music for years. 
With ‘The End of Logic’ Hard Fist signs here his most mature project since it started 3 years ago. This felt like an opportunity for a new artwork collaboration with a cover signed by the Paris-based illustrator Leo Marsal who introduced his own extravagance (with color!) in the Hard Fist universe.

Straighter, Harder, Faster... made to kill the dance floor. Figurehead of the Dark Disco mouvement, Damon Jee takes the EBM and industrial influence of Strapontin’s original to build this monster dancing tool. A perfect meeting between two worlds, influencing each other for the best. PLEASE, RE-OPEN THE CLUBS!

Exclusive:  A.M.O.R. - No More (Each Other Remix)

Max Pask and Justin Strauss teamed up again under their Each Other moniker to deliver yet another remix full of love for A.M.O.R's, short for A Mountain Of Rimowa, track No More on Lithuanian label Le Temps Perdu. Behind A.M.O.R. is London-based producer Sean Johnston who contributed four original (Balearic influenced) tracks to the EP The Fall of A Mountain Of Rimowa. Justin and Max keep up the sunny vibe of the original but add their slightly discos and dreamy hypnotic vibe to it. As soon as the piano sets it the Each Other's approach takes us to a place and time, that's partly out of sight at the moment as it suggests the freedom at summerish outdoor events. However, their remix reminds one of the beauty of dancing to joyful music under the blue sky in a sexy yet elegant way.

A.M.O.R.'s EP The Decline and Fall of A Mountain Of Rimowa will be released on Le Temps Perdu on September 18th, 2020.

Berlin-East Frisian Heindenreich, also known as one half of Leggings, a slow Indie-Dance formation with his partner in crime DJ Cremant, challenges Francophile vocalist ANGST vor GRETA for his Je Palpite EP on Dutch label Sinchi Collective. Beside the original version of Je Palpite, the track comes with remixes from Calypso head honcho Thomas Jackson and Robert Johnson mainstay Chinaski, who finally delivers new material after his collaboration with Curses on Dischi Autunno earlier this year. As expected and as fresh as a tropical fruit Chinaski squeezes the Disco-ish note out of Heidenreich's original and exchanges it with more progressive and heavily hitting electroid essences that turn his version of Je Palpite to a kiwano, an exotic warm composition with an edgy and raw musical backbone.

The first EP - Chomp! Chomp! presents the debut of Golden Mammals - a collaboration between Eric from America and Chittom. Eric is a multi-instrumentalist and electronic producer with a unique style that pulls from a variety of genres. He is also an active drummer for TV Baby (with members of A.R.E. Weapons), as well as several other bands in New York and past projects in Hawaii.

The EP has three original tracks and a remix. "An Hour a Day with You” blends acid house and techno with an obscure leftfield vocal by Chittom. The remix is a dubby techno slow-burner that will work in a variety of settings. On the other side, with two tracks by Eric from America, "At the Met Gala" & "For the Crowd” are two groovy techno-ish tracks with Eric’s unique touches - both are dancefloor and living room friendly. The EP is mixed by Justin Van Der Volgen and Kenji Shimoda, mastered by Rick Essig of REM Sound. Artwork by Dusty Gibbons.
