So this is my last assignment for this year. I took some inspiration from Tame Impala (I wonder if you can spot it) in making it a little more interesting, as I didn't think I could just hand in 4 minutes of drums.

This is a cover of a song very dear to my heart, as my band performed it live for many years. As this version progressed I realised I was expressing a lot through it, and you'll hear samples of some of our performances included throughout.

Ever since I heard this song by Efterklang over a decade ago, it stayed in my head.

Then I discovered that it was also coincidentally significant to someone very, very important to me, and I knew that the song meant something to my life. Finally I've managed to recreate it.

Sedna (Cover)

Working title "Avocado Bathroom" but that was too scary. This is my Halloween song, and is one of three Model Folk demos I'm trying to finish and publish.

It tells the story of a young, troubled vicar in a leafy pastoral village. He's a handsome man, with his sleeves rolled up, slaving over tomorrow's sermon. Alas, the night grows longer and longer and he is unable to rid his mind of wicked, dark, polluting thoughts. Little does he know, his mind is so damaged that tonight, on this spooky cursed eve, he triggers a stirring in the cemetery...

Well here it is. Probably the most challenging Tame mix I've done, probably also my last as next year I might have to do something that isn't just ripping off Kevin Parker. 
This is for my wonderful brother, thank you for introducing me to Tame Impala, giving me a taste in music and most crucially giving me something to base 2 years of my degree on. Happy belated Birthday xx, 10/10, would brother again

This is a song inspired by a video of Andrew Edwards having trouble with his college's platform for turning in coursework. It doesn't really make sense if you haven't seen the video but w.e., I din't ask you to be part of my in-joke. The main themes are: Why something does this, that and what it all means.

It's finally done.

From a hook I came up with in 2015, this song became a compulsion to finish this year. The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of debating whether puns count as lyrics, and relearning exactly how raw my raw musicality is. Eternal thanks to Flex Pitch, as always.
