Marta, that is us - the singers - Dana, Gundega, Dita, Iluta (and Rota our daughter) from left to right - came together as a group defending women's rights and creating empowerment opportunities for women in Eastern and Northern Europe in 2002.

In 2011 we stepped up our fund raising efforts and began to perform in concerts. We have also since recorded 2 CDs, which consist of intimate words of empowerment derived from old myths and stories from Latvian folk tradition.

The musical arrngements are completely new and Gundega's magical guitar and a-capella voices create a wonderful effect, which we hope you truly enjoy!

Būšu ( Buu-shu ) means "I will become" - it is the 2012 theme of Marta...
