Clockwork is the first single from Tom Baker’s debut album “Ruled By The Machines”.

Ruled By The Machines explores the sounds of a turbulent dystopian future. Drawing influences from his favourite cult-classic movies, Tom endeavoured to depict the concept of a power struggle between human civilisation and the uncontrollable advancement in the technology it created.

Indulging his imagination, Tom has placed himself deep in the elaborate scenes circling his mind. The music would often be written solely based on a character or scene that Tom had envisioned, whilst he basked in the challenge of bringing typically cinematic themes to dance music.

What birthed as an idea between the 3 lads in an airport hotel room in Berlin over a year ago, has come to life, taking it's shape as 'Shop Talk'. A body of music that represents the merge of styles between Tom Baker, Unknown Concept and Jedidiah. 

This collab between our resis is part of the 15-track, At The Crossroads, Vol. 09 VA on Digital Structures, compiled by our very own Jedidiah. This release also officially marks him as the label's co-manager alongside Yuli Fershtat.

On a more personal note, our journey with Miles From Mars began (almost exactly) four years ago with the release of their inaugural track, 'Civilizations.' Witnessing the remarkable evolution and expansive reach of their musical vision over these years has been immensely satisfying.
