Italian duos Nice7 & Dirty Channels join forces for the first time to deliver the acid induced ‘Feelings EP’ on Crosstown Rebels. 

The release features two exceptional originals with Toronto’s Nathan Barato bringing his signature heavy sounds into play for the remix. Nicola Daniele and Cesare Marocco aka Nice7 are amongst the latest Italian stars to emerge in dance music. Since 2005, the year in which the two of them paired up, they have released on labels like Noir Music, Get Physical, Remote Area, Suara, Defected and Gruuv.

Dirty Channels are Simone & Leme, who started working together in 2008 after long single DJ careers. Releases soon followed for big labels such as Josh Wink's Ovum, Hot Creations sub-label Hot Waves and Culprit LA as well as licenses on several Defected compilations.

Nathan Barato worked his way onto the world stage with releases on the likes of Cajual, Saved and Hot Creations. 2016 also saw him as resident for Jamie Jones’ Paradise at DC10 in Ibiza. Here he delivers a punchy remix to dominate the dancefloor, centered around a hefty bassline, tight drum patterns and slick vocal cuts.

Hello Guys, oder auch Hallo Freunde,
heute haben wir zwei ganz besondere Ehrengäste zu verbuchen.
Sebastian aus Hannover und Nick aus London, seid 2013 auch bekannt unter dem Pseudonym Maximono. Zusammen bilden sie ein DJ/Produzenten Duo, dass mittlerweile globale Bekanntheit genießt. Mit Ep´s/Alben auf renommierten Labels wie Dirtybird, Cuff, Simma Black und This aint Bristol, haben sie sich bis an die Spitze der UK Szene katapultiert. Ihre Songs werden von Künstlern wie Dubfire, Tapesh, Justin Martin und Claude vonStroke gespielt. Bis dato können die beiden Gigs in ganz Deutschland, aber auch International verbuchen. 
Das Jahr 2016 war für die beiden ein ganz besonders erfolgreiches. 
Begonnen am 2.07.2016 mit der Fusion, über das Zytanien und Sun&Bass Festival bis hin zum legendären Dirtybird Campout.
Im Zusammenhang mit Maximono ist ein Name nicht weg zu denken: This aint Bristol! Ihren Ursprung nimmt das erfolgreiche Label im September 2013 mit einer lokalen Veranstaltungsreihe im Weidemdamm (Hannover). Nach knapp 1 1/2 jahren beschließt die Crew so richtig ins Musik Business zu starten und gründet das gleichnamige Recordlabel.
Heute: Läuft es sowohl für das Label, als auch für das Künstler Duo, wir bedanken uns für dieses attraktive Liveset @ Chicago East Room und wünschen auch für die Zukunft alles Gute.

We’re deep in the dog days of Summer, so it’s only appropriate we turn up the heat with a bit of fire from our “Summer Funk” release, featuring four bangers from four different artists.

Lee Walker makes his debut on Dirtybird with “Rock Climber”, a ferocious track with build-ups and build-downs that make you feel like you’re on an unforgiving rollercoaster. Huge.

Weiss has been a favorite of ours the past year, and follows up his recent Dirtybird EP with “Bounce”. It does exactly what it says, with Weiss’ trademark mixture of jackin beats, underground boom and a bit of amusement.

Lord Leopard first appeared with Eats Everything in March on one of our biggest EPs of the year, and goes solo with “As Gospel”. The contagious lead line swirls in and out over a dark set of drums and bass that will certainly contribute to Lord’s rapid ascent as an artist to watch.

Bump Ugly’s “Lost My Mind” rounds out the EP with animated beats and bass that dance along with quirky bleeps and blips for a funky Summer ride.
