I loved composing this one. It was such a pleasure to work with beautiful female vocals, changing them to suit the mood of the track. My intent was to make a chilled song but with a sense of urgency pushing it forward.

Apollo's Lyre

This particular track was originally close to ten minutes long when I first "finished" it. Cutting it down to a few minutes was aggravating to say the least. It's hard to let go of something you created and although I lost several melodies and handcrafted sounds, I'm glad I did it. 

As I inched closer to a true finish, I kept thinking how this was a ghost of the original, hence the title.

Lucid Dreamer (original extended mix)

As both a Pisces and a lover of mythology, the Greek god of the sea has always intrigued me. While Poseidon frequently conjures up images of violent ocean turbulence, he also kept the seas calm for those ancient men and women who paid him tribute before setting sail. 

The sirens, beautiful, feminine, and bird-like, were implied to be the greatest musicians in the universe, as their songs were so spellbinding, any sailor who heard it would steer their vessel into rocky waters. Naturally, these sirens of the sea were ruled by Poseidon.

I don't claim to have matched the siren's affinity for harmony of course, but they, along with the sea god himself, have been my inspiration for this watery track.
