This was a suggestion to cover from my brother, Scott. As a huge Beatles (Paul McCartney) fan, I was very happy to get the project underway! It took roughly 5 hours to record and all is single tracked - you can probably tell! a few hours to mix and here you have the final product! I like my mix, especially on songs like this, to be quite raw.

I've always been a massive fan of the Beatles and as a quick colaboration project, this seemed perfect! 
It roughly took 6 hours to record all the parts and took about 2 hours o mix. 
I originally recorded it on garageband for convenience which turned out to be a huge mistake! so along with a few recordings of a couple of midi tracks on logic, this is what i salvaged from the original! this is all one track recorded.

This was another quick decide. I used to love the Black Keys when they first came out in the early-mid 2000s. 
this took about 3 hours to record and a couple of hours to mix. Again, I've gone for more of a raw sound - the nature of the song and how the band would have wanted it.

Gold On the Ceiling - The Black Keys

A song I have always Admired for all kinds of reasons - the ingenuity, the mesmerising harmonies, the writing as a whole; its a song which will stay in that moment of time forever and no one will ever forget. 
I saw it as a challenge for a solo piece this time. 
It took about 5 hours to record the backing track - there are all kinds of weird instruments playing in this! - and 6 hours to record vocals. 
I double tracked each vocal part to give it that surround 60's sound.

this was a quick and fun one with my friend Bruno. we  both love the Beatles. Drums and percussion from midi logic presets.
