Another Drum Machine/Sampler Challenge. Have some minor melodies attached, but most of the complex stuff happens in the drum machines and samplers.

So yeah, fiddled around with the synthesizers for quite a while to make most of the sounds you hear in there. Cut up and manipulated a LOT of one shots for the drums. Whole song took me 3 or so days to make. 

Other than that I think it turned out glorious.

Made this in the last few hours of the day to make up for last week with no songs. Hope you like it.

The Tundra

I was inspired and wanted to create an electronic cover of this song. However, having never played this song before, I was in quite a pickle. But thanks to the power of the internet, I found a lesson on youtube. I then followed the notes very carefully, as I spent the better part of three to four hours literally clicking in all of the notes. There had to be around 2,000+ notes in there. And that was just for PART of a song that is near SIX minutes long. But I tell you, it was totally worth it. And I am going to learn how to play this song in the future for sure.

Hobby musician for near 13 years now. Nowadays mostly stick with percussive and bassy genres such as IDM, Breakbeat, Techno and Downtempo. Despite those being the main genres, I try not to follow along the beaten path. If I did that I'd fall into the trap of "expectation." I like creating and reinventing my own sounds, with an old school/modern vibe and I don't care if genres meld together or take influence from completely different genres. Music is not meant to be caged.

Audiotool is my main DAW right now. Love the old feel it creates.
