Com Blissful Misunderstandings, Jonny Abbey transforma um momento quotidiano numa jornada sonora profundamente expressiva e texturizada. Com lançamento marcado para 28 de março de 2025 pela Flow State Records (UK), esta faixa incorpora a sua filosofia de que a música existe em todo o lado — basta estarmos atentos. Criada a partir de uma melodia espontânea cantada pela sua esposa, a música explora a beleza da imperfeição humana e o potencial criativo escondido nos acasos felizes.
Este lançamento marca o primeiro de uma série de singles que culminará no próximo álbum de Jonny, Everything is a Song, um projeto que reflete a ideia de que a inspiração está presente em todos os aspetos do dia a dia.
Descrição da Faixa
Blissful Misunderstandings nasceu de uma situação inesperada — Jonny ouviu a sua esposa a cantarolar uma melodia enquanto preparava um gravador de som portátil. Pensando que tinha captado algo original e espontâneo, decidiu transformá-la numa composição completa, adicionando acordes de R&B com influência jazzística, uma batida de hip-hop descontraída e linhas de guitarra expressivas, inspiradas no uso do wah-wah de Jimi Hendrix.
No entanto, quando mais tarde mostrou a faixa terminada à sua esposa, ela revelou que a melodia que ele tinha desenvolvido afinal não era aquilo que ele pensava — era, na verdade, parte de uma música dos System of a Down que ela estava a cantarolar distraidamente. Este momento de interpretação errada tornou-se na essência de Blissful Misunderstandings, evidenciando como a nossa perceção pode ser falível, mas também como esses "erros" podem dar origem a criações inesperadas e belas.
A música é rica em textura, incorporando sons de foley e gravações ambientais para adicionar profundidade e ritmo, reforçando a ideia de que a música pode surgir de qualquer coisa. É uma reflexão sobre como as nossas interpretações imperfeitas do mundo podem gerar momentos de pura inspiração artística — um convite para abraçar a imperfeição como parte do processo criativo.
Sobre o Artista
Jonny Abbey, artista e produtor português de Lo-Fi, é conhecido por fundir elementos orgânicos e eletrónicos para criar paisagens sonoras imersivas. A sua música é profundamente pessoal, muitas vezes inspirada em experiências do quotidiano e momentos espontâneos. Através de texturas intrincadas e uma grande carga emocional, cria espaços sonoros que convidam o ouvinte a desacelerar e a conectar-se com o momento presente.
