In these mixtures of sounds that stand between the mechanical, rhythmic and dreamy there is a proposition to dilute notions of time, space, and individuality, but their negation exposes their respective densities; at the same time they evaporate, they viscerally
present themselves.

London based Basic Rhythm (aka East Man) gets straight to the point with his latest, aptly-titled ‘New Style' EP.

This one is aimed straight at the dance floor, with grounded rhythms, melodic teases, and low end you know is gonna make the bass-bins wobble. Offset by a stab-loaded dancehall beat and a merciless 140 club killer on the A-side, the flip reels off low slung frequencies so solid you could cut them with a knife. One for the sweaty club basements and the warehouse raves alike!

Basic Rhythm - London Warehouse [RA Tracks]

TEKNOX (@teknoxradio) crew member @Nikki-Nair debuts on Mr. Mitch's stellar imprint @Gobstopper-Records this month with a five-track EP titled 'Morphism'.

His latest follows up releases on labels such as TRAM Planet, Discovery and Scuffed and sees the Tennessee producer in his experimental element. 

The EP, says Nair, was written "with big soundsystems in mind". And across the five tracks Nair offers up rhythms, atmospheres and tropes spanning a slew of varying genres such as techno, house and electro, all the while focusing in on the interesting outcomes that stem from vocal-led, bass-laden soundsystem productions.

Fly By Night welcome PanicMan (@panicman1993) to the roster with his track Raw Hits as part of the FBN005 compilation. Following up his killer debut EP on @omertarecords0224, which garnered support from Emerald & Jossy Mitsu on Rinse amongst others, PanicMan brings his stripped back breaks-centred approach to FBN with Raw Hits. Choppy breaks and a pulsating sub contribute to a solid track from the Brighton-based producer, who is emerging as one to watch for 2021.

Fly By Night are excited to announce FBN005, an 8-track V/A with all profits going to Centrepoint, a charity which supports over 14,000 homeless young people every year providing housing and mental & physical health support. Locked Up contains 8 exciting producers ranging from breakbeat, electro & bass, all contributing their interpretation of a year being spent locked inside. From artists ranging from Birmingham to Brighton, Angers to Copenhagen, the V/A is yet another strong release from Fly By Night to round off what has been a long 2020 in which the label have been picking up the pace.
