Alex Jang (1988–) studied composition & music theory with Christopher Butterfield, John Celona, Wolf Edwards, Aaron Cassidy, and Bryn Harrison in Victoria and Huddersfield, conducting with Ajtony Csaba, classical guitar and chamber music with Dr. Alexander Dunn.

He has had lessons, master classes, and conversations about music with Linda Catlin Smith, Peter Ablinger, Gianluca Ulivelli, Antoine Beuger, and Martin Arnold.

His works have been performed internationally by ensembles and soloists in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Trento, London, Munich and Buenos Aires.
