Carlos Lehder is the deep tech minimal alter ego of Alex Kid, a globetrotting DJ born in Munich Germany and raised in Cape Town South Africa where, in 1988 he fell in love with underground music and the local rave scene. A lifelong musician, he spent his formative years exploring the boundaries of electronic music and today you can still hear the influences of Depeche Mode, New Order and Yazoo blended into the future sounds of the underground. A true Rockstar, the only thing subtle about Carlos Lehder is his mixing. Pay attention. 

Like a musical architect, Carlos Lehder creates soundscapes, sculpted loops, introduced as a metronome and layered one by one into a masterpiece of musical performance. Understanding the crowd is yet another layer of the entire musical experience, Carlos Lehder builds them up, taking them under his wing along a journey through urban landscapes, inner-city canals, abandoned warehouses and private after-hours clubs around the world. 

Carlos Lehder has shared the stage with many global masters like Danny Tenaglia, Nick Warren, Derrick Carter, Pete Tong, Robert Miles & Carl Cox, The Yellowheads,Phobic Black,to name a few. Performing for audiences at Glastonbury, Pacha Tel Aviv, Fabric,The Metropol London, Homan 17, Dome, Liquid, the Queen Club,Suicide Club and venues around the world big and small, this maestro of sound is ready to take any dance floor on a unique musical journey deep down the rabbit hole.
