This third and final installment of the Fusion remix series sees Len Faki personally select from his most beloved producers to expand on his ambitious album project Fusion that was released as a double LP in 2023.

First up is Herbert’s trippy rework of Don’t Be Stupid Day, one of the album’s most memorable vocal cuts. Herbert’s Brain Dub transforms the track slowly and playfully, using the witty lyrics for crafting catchy hooks.

Irish powerhouse Cromby has two appearances on this EP, getting to revamp the more house-leaning productions from Fusion. His take on It’s Time (to Move Your Body) is grooving grand, its bubbling acid riff and dancing hi hats teeming with life. Meanwhile, the Blackjack remix further energizes the original’s shiny centerstage synths, crazily riding the pitch up and down for an all-out party.

Finally, the brotherly duo Glaskin are reshaping the ambient album highlight Gamma into a highly effective, reduced but propulsive, tunneling techno affair.

Earlier in the year Oliver Schories invited us on a journey. To leave
all our worldly worries far behind, to swoon in the hazy breeze and
dabble in fleeting late night romances. To dip toes in shimmering,
crystal cool waters and fill trainers up with sand. To be carried off
deep into a dreamy imagined summer… Now summer is here and
it's time to revive those lushly woven fantasies, and bask in ‘Exit'
anew.
Here Schories' warm and refined style is given soft and gentle revisions by a cherished collate of
sympathisers. First up, Berlin-based rampue turns the soulful “But Maybe” into something even more
poignant and achingly beautiful. The album's songful lead track “Be” is then rolled down opposing planes
by Pupkulies & Rebecca and the ever-fanciful Frenchman Rodriguez JR. Where Pupkulies & Rebecca turn in
a marshmallowy edit complete with additional sex-kitten vocals, the Mobilee mainstay toughens “Be” right
up into a punchy tech-house floor killer. Finally Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner offer a dubbed out edit of
“Another Day” made just for those heavy eyed moments where the sun starts to set and the velveteen night
begins once more.

Alex is the do it yourself man in terms of audio electronic, always searching for new sound he is
creating hardware audio units since his early youth. By his passion for electronic it is not far away to
electronic music, as techno came to his ear for the first time he was flashed by the new sound. That
should be the music he his living for. So he bought the first techno records and started as dj and
promoter of techno events in his home country in the early 90ies. But this was not the beginning of his
dj career at all, already during his school time Alex served the good sound from two cassette decks.
The sets have been influenced by the most important electronic music bands of the 80ies. For
example Depeche Mode, Yello…
In 2006 it was time for an own label: 9Volt-Musik is a platform for the kind of music that he calls freaky
techno, a sound between straight, groovy and funky beats with lots of crazy elements and ideas. Not
only for one genre of techno, it is open for different stuff but it should have something special.
This year the label celebrates the 30th release on vinyl. More information you can find at the
homepage www.9volt.de and on soundcloud, facebook and other sources of the internet of course.
During the years Alex changed the dj more and more to a live artist, mostly performing live solo or with
the project Cannibal Cooking Club, founded together with Error in 1999.
Since some years he is offering mastering for vinyl and digital. Focussed on the individual wishes of
the labels/artists to make the best of the tracks in a creative way.
