Just a fun jam I've been working on lately, and figured it would be a good first upload here. I found it really simple and catchy when writing it, and filled it with a ton of cheesy, summer-y licks for the lead.

Embers

This track was a bit interesting to write. I was originally just toying around with a delay effect, and it ended up working kinda well for a more ambient feel for something  I'd written awhile ago. Kinda just let the song grow and progress from there. Kept it more or less simple.

River Run

I took a riff I had from years ago and tracked it just for keepsake, but as I did I found the evolution of the whole track to flow too naturally to leave alone. The middle section came out alot cooler than I'd even expected, and really focused on the harmony and progression over anything else. In terms of the solo I kinda just threw together whatever came. Didn't put as much focus there as I did the overall song. Also had a bit of fun working with guitar tone here.

Colossal

I was playing around with one of my favorite arpeggio picking patterns and began toying with the chord progression, as it started to sound very classical (somewhat reminiscent of Beethoven). I chose to keep it very simple for this short piece: no bass or percussion.

Rain

Inspired by paintings of John Martin and Francis Danby, what started off as a menacing, dissonant riff evolved into a song that in a sense tells a story. This one was a lot of fun to record, from using lighting and rain sound effects as percussion, to layering the solo, which I don't really ever do.

The Flood

This started off as just a simple piece I wanted to record for my own sake, but ended up throwing some bass in and really enjoyed the interplay. Simple, but fun to record.

The Town, The Hero, And The Day They Both Ignore

This was almost tuned a whole step lower.

The tuning and chord progressions were really fun to work wit here, and really enjoyed the overall progression of tone throughout this. Came out a bit longer than I'd expected, but I don't mind at all. Bit less of a focus on drums here compared to my other stuff though.

Hammerhead

This was pretty much a test of different tones I've been working on with plugins and drum sounds from EZ Drummer's new Progressive pack. Came along nicely overall, so figured it'd be a waste not to post it

Wolves

Got bored and made a mashup.  Been a fun break from rock writing.
