On Sunday 8th January 2023 The Crafty Kernel In Shipley West Yorkshire was awarded 'Pub Of The Season' By Bradford Camra (Campaign For Real Ale) I went along to the award giving at the pub and spoke to the landlords Zoe and Reece about the pub, running it, what the award means to them and spoke to Kerr Kennedy the chair of the Bradford branch of Camera to find more about the organisation.

On Friday 26th January 2024 in the small town of Shipley West Yorkshire, at a bar called The Triangle (47 Bradford Rd, Shipley BD18 3DS) there is a fundraiser for the Palestine Solidarity Campaign. I spoke to the organiser Pav Iqbal, a citizen of Bradford to find out more about the fundraiser, Palestine Solidarity Campaign and why something like this is so important.

On Friday 20th June I went up the world famous Haworth, up the cobbles on the main street, currently decorated with pride flags, ahead of Haworths' first pride, which starts Wednesday 25th June. I spoke to the owner of Wave Of Nostalgia and one of the organisers of the event Diane Park.

Cue In: With the winter nights drawing in and the festive season approacing it is likely we will come home, turn the heating up, curl up under the duvet on an evening, however spare a thought for the homeless of Birmingham, some of whom have been spotted using the Bull Ring Market for shelter in sub zero temperatures recently. To find out what it is like being homeless and sleeping rough on the streets of Birmingham we’ve been out onto the streets to find out from rough sleepers themselves what it is like.

Out Words: Once you’re homeless, it’s very very difficult to get out. 

Cue Out: David Green reminding us how difficult it is to get out of being homeless, extremely sad indeed. And if you have been listening to that and it’s made you want to help, well the first place to start is by reporting anyone who you consider to be homeless to the councils Street Link, a link to which can be found on the Birmingham City Council Website along with other useful links. You can also help by getting involved in local charities who are helping the homeless, the two feature in that Homeless One and Helping Birmingham’s Homeless both have websites which I urge you to check out and whatever you do, don’t go out alone.
