Alex Markos is a Canadian Progressive, Electro and House DJ based in Edmonton, Alberta.  Alex grew up in the underground electronic music scene in Toronto, Ontario where he signed on with the Toronto-based record label Don’t Look Productions.  He moved to Edmonton in 2006 where he currently performs for local entertainment group Element Productions.  

Alex made his Beatport debut in 2009 with “Don’t Look, Listen Vol. 2” released on Don’t Look Productions.  “Don’t Look, Listen Vol. 2” was such a success on Beatport that Alex released “Don’t Look, Listen Vol. 4” in 2010 with similar feedback and results.

Alex is known for his extra high energy and unique mixture of traditional DJing and music production with what has been described as his own “live-remixing” style.

Alex has been tearing up dance floors across Edmonton at clubs such as: Empire Ballroom, Twist, Suite 69, Fluid, Rehab and Detox.  In the past year, Alex has played alongside acclaimed international talent such as: Spencer & Hill, Vandalism, Lazy Rich and Starkillers.  In 2010, he preformed at the 10th annual outdoor music festival Motion Notion for electronic music fans from across Canada and the USA.  

While Alex is primarily known for playing genres such as Electro, Progressive and Tech House, his versatility has been showcased through appearances at upscale bars and lounges such as: Blush, Devlins and Kai.

Alex’s unique style and high energy is unforgettable and is the reason people are lining up to see him perform in clubs across the Edmonton area!
