My band Union Sea was about half way through the process of recording our debut full length "The Two Moons" in 2014. It was time for me to record vocals. I went out and bought a new microphone, the  Shure SM7B, which I found new on Craigslist. It was about an hour drive from my home in Southern California. On the way home from the sellers house, I was on 91 east,  thinking about this beat that I had created a few months prior. Finally the song came to me as I was driving. Soon after that I recorded these vocals, and added the electric guitar. This song is special to me. It speaks to my heart because it's a call for the world to re-design all the broken aspects of society. It's time humanity took an objective look at the rights and wrongs in the world and designed solutions, to create an appropriate world for the inhabitants of this planet. Life is like fire. It breaths, eats, breeds.. and if you don't provide fire with what it needs to keep burning, the fire will go out, die forever. We, the human race, need to stay on fire. We must learn to cater to our needs rather than competing with each other out of greed. We must learn to respect each other, like fire.
