I started playing piano at the age of five and subsequently took up clarinet with the intention of taking up saxophone which I did two years later, studying classically under Sandra Mastin-Smith BEd(Hons) LTCL.
I completed a tour of Belgium with the GCDYO in 2009 in their orchestra and swing band sections, the later performing as their lead alto player. After leaving the band I joined Harrogate based saxophone big band Soundbyte and performed in several concerts with them and recorded two albums playing lead Alto.
Since turning my interests more towards pop and funk I have received tuition from Snake Davis who has worked with artists like Eurythmics, M-People, Paul McCartney, Kylie Minogue and Take That and Don Donnelly who has worked with people such as Roy Wood ('I wish it could be Christmas every day') and performed in the rat pack tribute band 'The Rat Pack Boys'. In 2011 I wrote Indecisive which was produced in conjunction with Don and entered in the UK songwriting contest reaching the semi finals. I have subsequently continued writing and producing music on my own.
