A song I started writing on February 18th, 2013. The day my grandfather passed away. He was very important to me. Each year after the first verse I wrote a new one as a way to show the progress of dealing with his loss.

Lyrics: It's just the same old shit, as I sit, here letting the thoughts flood my mind/ You may think I can swim, you may think I'll be just fine/ But I'm drowning now in these mental oceans I've created suffocating myself just wishin' I was sedated/ My plated, armor has chinks in every single inch of it/ Torn between conflicted thoughts, suffering from ambivalence/ I can't stand on my own two feet without you there to hold me up/ No matter what I ever did, you were always there to show me love/ How am I supposed to be a man without you there to guide me? Your lessons and morals are the things that still define me/ How will I be, okay in a world without your presence/ All the good I've ever done was influenced by your essence/ You were my hero, and I regret that I never got to tell you/ When you got sick, I only wished that I could help you/ The life you lived inspired me to be the person I am today/ Though you're gone now, your memory won't ever fade away/ My internal eternity is in a state of emergency/ I've got no memory or energy to pull away urgently/ Hiding from the life that would purposely murder me with uncertainty/ But survival dictates that I must be heard and not seen/

Hooked her to the drugs mother fucker took her from her mother promised her a better life but it was nothin but the other/ funny dummy promised her money and a little somethin when she got hungry/ but it was all lies all eyes on her while she balanced on the fault lines/ took her eye off the ball twice and found out where the walls lie/ in a false sky she was the fall guy all night watchin paint on the walls dry/ followin her sorrow to the hollow stoppin not to smell the flowers but the bodies rottin bein swallowed by the crows/ conquered by the coke that he fed her feelin better? Never. Couldn't let her get away holdin tight on that tether/ dulled the pain every day with fantasies of moms rockin/ asked trick "last one made me bleed, you gonna top it?"/ "watch it little girl knock it off with the talkin." But it only took one glock shot to make her clock stop and turn that prison into a coffin/
