A song I started writing on February 18th, 2013. The day my grandfather passed away. He was very important to me. Each year after the first verse I wrote a new one as a way to show the progress of dealing with his loss.

Lyrics: It's just the same old shit, as I sit, here letting the thoughts flood my mind/ You may think I can swim, you may think I'll be just fine/ But I'm drowning now in these mental oceans I've created suffocating myself just wishin' I was sedated/ My plated, armor has chinks in every single inch of it/ Torn between conflicted thoughts, suffering from ambivalence/ I can't stand on my own two feet without you there to hold me up/ No matter what I ever did, you were always there to show me love/ How am I supposed to be a man without you there to guide me? Your lessons and morals are the things that still define me/ How will I be, okay in a world without your presence/ All the good I've ever done was influenced by your essence/ You were my hero, and I regret that I never got to tell you/ When you got sick, I only wished that I could help you/ The life you lived inspired me to be the person I am today/ Though you're gone now, your memory won't ever fade away/ My internal eternity is in a state of emergency/ I've got no memory or energy to pull away urgently/ Hiding from the life that would purposely murder me with uncertainty/ But survival dictates that I must be heard and not seen/
