Braiden, an artist synonymous with the UK’s underground continuum, makes a powerful return with Raindance, a four-track EP of original productions releasing on his own Off Out imprint.

The EP opens with its title track - an unruly and visceral cut that channels early grime’s skeletal power into a techno inflected, hypnotic landscape. It’s a track that shimmers with movement, built for the club but wired with an unpredictable edge.

Touch The Sky, featuring a vocal contribution from multidisciplinary artist KESH, follows as a weightless, emotional centrepiece: a meditative interlude that hovers above the rave, shimmering with restrained melancholy and awe.

X5x ramps the energy up again - urgent and euphoric. An electrified, acid-licked synth line encircles a thunderous syncopated kick pattern, recalling the vastness of late-night warehouse catharsis. Nods to techno and grime whilst never neatly settling in either, it’s a reminder of Braiden’s long-standing reputation as a DJ with acute dancefloor instincts shaped in an era of uncompromising club culture.

Lagrangian Point closes the EP on a different axis altogether; a celestial drone trip, the track meditates on gravitational equilibrium, combining sampling and granular synthesis to create a textured piece of time dilation. It’s an outro that expands the emotional and sonic horizons of Raindance, giving the release a widescreen final chapter.

The EP draws from the core DNA of the UK underground, whilst feeling contemporary and wholly untethered to nostalgia. In an era where dance music often chases immediacy, Raindance stands apart as a carefully sculpted, deeply evocative body of work - one that invites immersion, rewards patience, and reaffirms Braiden’s place as a singular voice in forward-facing electronic music.
