I've only ever made music for myself. Just like everything else I do, music is an outlet from the insanity of this world, All my creative outlets are just a way to get through to the next day without imploding or losing what little sanity I have left. I don't try to fit in any genre. I wouldn't even know where to place most of my songs. To me they are in a category of their own, being influence by so many different styles throughout my life from heavy metal to hip-hop to classical. I love all of it. I started with music as the Lead singer to an amazing Progressive Metal band named JUNTA. We put out a few studio albums over the 6 years I was with them, and played countless shows across New York and New Jersey. CBGB's was always my favorite venue to perform at. Anyway situations arose and that life landed me in rehab across the country. Long story short I had to leave the band right as we were on the verge of a record deal with a big metal label. I was torn to pieces having to leave JUNTA, so for many years to follow I would take instrumental music tracks from anyone who had them, no matter the genre...I just wanted / needed to keep writing lyrics and recording them. This is why I have such a huge range of music styles incorporated in my solo stuff. I needed to do it, and I think when you need to do something for your soul, that usually comes across to the listener.
